Roger was sitting in my living room beside my mother and father. When I walked in he stood up. "Megan, I'm so sorry-" he started off before I stopped him. I was itching to lash out. I wanted to let him know that what he did was not okay. I looked at him. Tears were rolling down his cheeks. I couldn't tell him off. I walked closer to him until we were face to face. I put my hands on his cheeks to wipe his tears away. Then finally I kissed him. He kissed me back. My parents left the room. After our kiss, Roger looked at me right in the eyes, something that always made me melt inside. He picked me up as I giggled and carried me upstairs. All we did was get under the covers with Roger hugging me tight as if he never wanted to let me go. We both fell asleep. I had only realised that Roger looked like he hadn't slept in a few days.
When I woke up Roger wasn't in bed beside me. I got out of bed and went downstairs only to find him sitting at the table with my family, making them laugh. When Roger realised I was up he came over to me and kissed me on the cheek. I gave him a hug back. "Okay everybody," he said. "We all know I made a very stupid mistake and I promise, no I vow, never ever to do it again as long as I live. So to show you how much I really care about you and how sorry I am, I've decided to ask you to spend the rest of your life with me." I laughed, not really understanding what he meant. I stopped laughing as he pulled a small black box out of his pocket. "Megan, my darling, will you marry me?"
