Fighting for Survival

*Megan's POV**
I woke up in the hospital. The room was bright, burning straight into my eyes. I could only make out shapes because I didn't have my glasses on. Roger came running over to me once he saw I was awake. "Oh Megan I'm so so sorry I should have been there I'm so sorry please forgive me please I'm so sorry!" He said, jumbling his words together. "Roger, Roger, slow down, it's okay." I told him. "Ms Geraghty what do you remember?" The doctor asked me. "I remember that I was in bed and I got woken up, I went downstairs and we had been burgled, and then the room went black but I remember the burglar telling me not to tell anyone." I said. I looked at Roger. "Only, I was facing a grown man alone because my boyfriend was too busy to come home!" I said making at dig at him. " I admit I should have been there to protect you and I'm really sorry that I wasn't." He said. "You think that's enough? Saying sorry is going to make me better?" I asked. "No, Roger, its-" I paused mid sentence and was horribly sick all over the bed and myself. "Sir, please, leave you are causing distress in the patient!" Roger looked dumbfounded while the nurse dragged him out of the room. I felt ny arms and legs start to shake and I couldn't control them. Suddenly my eyes rolled to the back of my head and my whole body shook. I was having a seizure.

I woke up in a dark room alone. I felt lonely and scared. I got out of bed and walked along the hospital corridors. I had been transferred to a different ward. I couldn't find my way back to where Roger would have been. I felt a pang of guilt because I had gotten so angry at him and it might not have been his fault. I felt so bad about myself for making him feel so bad about himself. I was a terrible person. As I walked through the corridors the room started to spin and I lost balance. I fell to the floor as the room darkened.
