Contemplating What You Feel Inside

After I had sat with Brian for a substantial amount of time, I decided to bring him back into our room.

He followed me slowly, without much will. Roger stopped what he was doing when he saw us walk in.

Brian was positively torn up and Roger was shocked to see the state he was in.

"Brian... mate... are you alright?" He asked, getting out from underneath the kids and coming over to Brian.

"Yeah... I'm fine." Brian choked on his tears.

Rogers face fell and he grabbed Brian into a hug, as Brian sobbed again. I left them to it and told the kids to start packing their bags because we would be leaving soon. I didn't want them to worry about Brian.

They were distracted and I noticed Roger was now rubbing Brian's shoulder as Brian wiped away his tears.

"So... what's going to happen now..?" Roger asked, incredulously.

As if, out of the blue, Brian's anger surged.

"I'll tell you what's going to happen!" He roared, grabbing Roger by the collar of his t-shirt.

"Brian!" I exclaimed, pulling him off Roger.

"What's your problem!?" Roger asked, rubbing his chest where Brian had grabbed him.

"What's my.... what's my problem? Are you seriously asking me that question!? You slept with my wife!"

"I didn't! She's a lying bitch! We did fuck all Brian!" Roger roared.

Brian glared at Roger, my firm grip on his arm being the only thing holding him back. He suddenly shrugged it off and left the room, slamming the door.

I stood like an idiot, disillusioned by what had happened.

"Are you alright?" I asked Roger. He looked just as confused as I did.

"Yeah...yeah I'm fine. We should be gone by now, come on."

He picked Luke up and carried his suitcase in the other arm while I walked behind Elly and Aidan who were carrying their bags. They seemed a bit traumatised by what happened.

Queen's manager, Jim, had a car waiting for each of the members and we got in and sat in silence on the way to the airport.

Rogers eyes were angry and bitter. Never had I seen him so furious. There was my best friend and my husband, livid with each other. I felt a bit torn in two. I wanted to side with Brian but I wanted to side with Roger too.

When we got to the airport and onto the plane, Roger fell asleep and his eyebrows furrowed into a frown for most of his slumber. Then, finally, his face relaxed and softened and he looked peaceful.

I had to keep the kids entertained, so I wasn't watching when Roger awoke. The kids started talking amongst themselves so I turned to Roger who was looking back at me.

"Oh! You frightened me. Did you have a good sleep?" I asked.

"Yeah. You have one now, I'll mind the kids." He said.

I gave him a loving smile and tired to make myself comfortable on my seat, which proved almost impossible. I didn't understand how Roger could sleep here.

Instead, I closed my eyes and thought. I really didn't want all of us to be angry at each other. It was bad enough that Chrissie hated me for some reason, but I didn't want Brian and Roger to hate each other too.

Eventually, we arrived back in cloudy and rainy England and got off the plane. As I was walking back to the airport, I noticed Brian and Chrissie not too far away. They seemed to be angry with each other.

Roger and the kids caught up with me and I picked a sleepy Luke up and carried him. I knew Roger had spotted Brian too.

"I'm just going over to Brian for a sec..." he said, quickly walking over.

"Okay.." I said, with a bit of concern. I didn't want another argument.

I walked the kids to the airport where our car had been parked when we were in Montreal. I got the kids into the car and then got into the drivers side and started it.

I was getting a bit worried. Roger had been gone for a while now. I turned the car off and waited for him to come back.

Eventually, I saw him storming back to the car, a huge frown on his face, his eyes small because of his furrowed eyebrows. I gripped the steering wheel a bit because I wasn't sure what state he would be in.

He opened the car door quickly and put his seatbelt on, then turned to me.

"Are you going to drive or what?" He asked.

"Oh.. sorry." I said, turning the key.

"No... I am. I shouldn't have snapped." He suddenly said, rubbing his forehead.

"It's fine. What's wrong?" I asked as I pulled out of the carpark and onto the road.

"I think Chrissie is trying to mess with my head. And Brian's."

"Why? What did she say?" I asked.

Roger sighed and took a breath.

"She said she's pregnant.... and the baby might be mine."

A/N: okayyyyy... first sorry this took so long to be published. I had exams and stuff and I just didn't really have a desire to write. Also, I know Brian's daughter was born in like May of 1981 but it's just going to have to be 1982 for now sorry!
