You looked at yourself in the mirror, and couldn't help but wear an uncomfortable face. All the Avengers were invited to some black tie party, and now a dress that Natasha said you looked "never have to pay for a drink hot" clung to your body.

It was a deep v-neck line, showing off your chest more than you were used to, with thin straps going from your shoulders down your back in an 'x'. It was also pure gold sequins with pretty much your whole back exposed. Even though your reflection didn't really seem like your own, you had to admit you looked pretty damn good.

You ran your hands down the fabric of the dress, not able to ignore the fact that you felt like you attracted as much attention as a foghorn. This was not something you were used to. Placing one more pin in your pinned up hair was also something you weren't used to. You missed the feeling of your hair against your face. You touched up your lipstick and made eye contact with the stranger in the mirror one more time. Taking a breath, you prepared yourself for at least one evening of feeling confident.

Making your way towards the elevator on your floor, the sound of clicking heels was the only one that accompanied you. Well, at first. You were standing in front of the elevator in silence, until a breathy "wow" came from your right. You whipped your attention towards the voice's direction, and saw Bruce looking quite dashing in an all black suit.

"You don't think it's a little...much?" You asked, a slight blush heating up your cheeks.

"Not at all," he smiled sweetly, looking you up and down briefly. "I think you look stunning." Now your cheeks were noticeably pink, and you became familiar with the sight of your feet. The elevator dinged open, and Bruce gave a gesture with his arm.

"After you," he grinned, and you smiled as well at his courtesy. Inside the elevator, you tapped your finger against your opposite arm, nervous about this event tonight. You hoped Bruce couldn't tell, but the next words leaving his mouth showed the opposite. "Are you okay? You seem nervous."

You hesitated at first, not exactly sure how to answer. "Yeah, you could say nervous. It's stupid though..." you trailed off, but when you glanced at Bruce, he had a curious expression. So you continued. "I've just never been this...revealed, before. It's just new, and unfamiliar that's all."

"Well, I know what it's like not to feel at home in your own skin, and while I don't have a permanent solution, I do have an idea." You turned your attention towards him again. He was looking at you with a goofy smile, and a look of adoration. Suddenly, he took a step closer and brought his hand up towards your face. No, not your face. Towards your hair.

The next thing you knew, your hair was lightly falling over your shoulders. "You always have your hair down," Bruce added, now a slight blush on his face, and the elevator dinged open again. You were certain the shy smile on your face would not be easily removed, and you walked out of the elevator with the ability to walk a bit taller.

Hey guys, this one was a bit short but I hoped you liked it! Also, a bit of an author's note, I have an idea and I'm not sure if it should be a fanfic or multi part imagine, so I'll ask you guys; I wanted to have the character be messing around with some Stark tech and end up getting sent back in time to the 1940's with Bucky and Steve so lemme know which one I should do, fanfic or imagine
