"You can do this," you repeated to yourself over and over again as you walked down one of the tightly packed corridors of your college. "You will not wimp out," you ordered yourself, speaking in a hushed tone so only you could hear your voice.
You adjusted the straps on your bag, moving them around to sit in a more comforting position on your shoulders. You took a deep breath as you turned round the corner that lead towards the studios used by the students studying dance and as if you had just walked into a snow drift, your body froze over.
Your chest tightened and constricted around your failing heart, shattering like glass into a pile of sharp shards, stabbing away at you from within.
You tore your eyes away, knowing you could never handle the sight of the man you loved talking freely and happily with another girl.
Turning on your heals you bolted, heading for no place in particular, just so long as it was far away from him.
You heaved slightly as your stomach flipped and clenched from the potent amount of envy bubbling up deep within it.
You knew you looked pathetic, you could feel your mascara run down to dry on your cheeks, your eyes sore from the abundance of salty droplet falling down from them.
It was as if he had plunged his hand through your rib cage and stolen your heart, locking it away in a jar like some sort of sick ornament.
You slumped against the wall of an abandoned hallway and slid down to sit, restong your head on your knees, sobbing into your lap. All thoughts of confession washed away from you with your tears, your dying heart thumping the life through your veins you no longer thought mattered.
"Are you alright?" A sweet voice called out as a gentle hand was placed upon your quivering shoulders. You snapped your head up to look deep into the eyes of your dearest friend.
"H-hey Kyungsoo," you stuttered as you wipes your tears away with the back if your hand, painting it black with mascara in the process. "I'm fine," you lied and turned your head to avoid his pitiful gaze.
You felt something brush against your arm and she you turned your head slightly and looked out the corner of your eye you saw Kyungsoo had sat down beside you, a caring smile set across his kissable lips.
You couldn't tear your eyes away from his mouth, the way the corners of his lips twitched up made your heart flutter. And his closeness only made it worse. "Tell me," Kyungsoo whispered as he wrapped his arms around you and pulled you into his chest, getting you to rest your head in his shoulder.
You closed your eyes and inhaled his intoxicating scent, never realising until now how amazing he actually smelt. "I-it's Luhan."
"What has that bastard done now?" He growled slightly as he looked deep within your eyes, causing your insides to melt into a pile of mush.
"Nothing, he hasn't done anything." You looked down at your hands and twiddled with your own fingers, doing anything to avoid Kyungsoo's intense dreamy gaze.
"I wish you would stop liking him," Kyungsoo muttered to himself, not intending for you to hear. "And like somebody who actually loves you."
You turned your head and a red hot blush instantly formed on your cheeks as his lips brushed ever so slightly against yours. You pulled away quickly on reflex, later cursing yourself for not enforcing the kiss further. "L-like w-who?"
Kyungsoo's hand raised to cup your cheek, his thumb caressed your soft skin gently. With no warning, Kyungsoo pushed himself forwards, placing his soft lips upon yours, them parting ever so slightly to allow your lips to lock perfectly. "Somebody like me."
