"Will you peddle faster," you call back at your boyfriend who was desperately trying to catch up with you, his fingers gripped around his paddle tightly, stabbing at the water ferociously.
"Stop rushing me, woman," Chanyeol grumbled and he smacked the right end of his oar against the surface of the crystal clear glacial water, a small wave curving up to slash over his entire right side, his face sinking into a grimace as he attempted to dry his damp fringe by puffing up hot air from his lungs.
With elegance and well-practiced movements, you quickly turned your kayak around and paddled your way back, draping your oar through the surface of the water to slow your small boat down and halt at Chanyeol's side, nudging the side of his kayak with the tip of your oar. "I told you to take the class," you reminded him and smirked when he flashed you a stern look, his eyebrows creased and his kissable lips pressed into a thin line.
"I didn't want you to bully me," Chanyeol admitted and he brushed his fingers through the cool water, looking down at the reflection of the clouds on the glistening surface.
"Don't be silly. I took lessons once, you know." You placed your hand on his shoulder and rubbed your thumb in a circle on his shirt, gentle massaging out his stress. "Taking lessons doesn't make you any less manly. It just makes you more experienced."
Chanyeol let a smile form across his lips as he looked up into your eyes lovingly, his body slowly tilted closer to yours, his lips starting to pucker. Your eyes widened when his hand gripped the edge of your kayak and pulled you closer, feeling your small boat shift uneasily on the surface. "Chanyeol, don't!" you screamed as his kayak flipped from under him, his hand dragging the edge of yours down as he plummeted into the cool water, causing you to fall from your own.
You both burst through the surface with raspy laughs, you both quickly swimming to grip on to the closest kayak so it didn't drift away, it currently floating upside down on the water. Chanyeol laid his arm over the base of the kayak and reached through the water to find your waist, his fingers gripping at the drenched material of the shirt he had lent you to stop your shoulders from burning in the strong sun rays. "Well," Chanyeol mumbled as he planted his feet on the floor, wet white sand silently shifting over his toes, and you laughed, knowing that only Chanyeol would be just tall enough to touch the bottom, the water rising to just below his collar bone.
He trapped you against the kayak, a hand on either side, his head moving down, his lips drawing nearer, you revelling in the way his warm mint scented breath brushed against your cheeks. "Since there isn't the problem of us falling out of our kayaks now, do I get that kiss?"
