"Will you stop dawdling," you called to your boyfriend who was dragging his feet a couple of meters away from you.
"Why did you even bring me here?" Chen whined as he childishly kicked at a pebble along with him, frowning when it rolled off to the side and into the long grass.
You sighed a pulled gently on your horses lead rein, holding him still as you turned to face Chen. "You said you wanted to spend more time with me," you reminded him as you patted your four year old brown and white sports horse on the neck.
Chen grumpily folded his arms over his chest and huffed up a puff of air, blowing his fringe from his face. "I didn't mean shovelling horse shit."
You groaned and threw your arm up into the air in a huff. With Chen, it was honestly like babysitting a twelve year old instead of hanging out with your long term boyfriend. "You'll find a way to amuse yourself," you grumbled and continued to lead your horse around the side of the ménage and towards his paddock.
"Baby look!" you heard Chen call out and it almost sounded like he was giggling.
Turning around you found him bent down into a deep lunge besides a white sign nailed to the side of the outdoor riding arena. "What on earth are you doing?" you asked him with a confused expression as he beamed brightly at you.
"Fuck the police!" He sang as e pointed towards the sign. 'No lunging' was what the bold black writing read and you couldn't help but burst out laughing at his blind stupidity.
"Chen, it means don't lunge the horses in the arena," you cackled, practically doubled over in fits. Chen's face was blank and expressionless. You walked over to him, your horse happily following behind you. Pressing a light kiss to his cheek you smiled and said, "it's the silly things you do that made me fall in love with you."

Only those of you that understand horse riding will probably get this joke xD and for those of you that don't, lunging is a type of exercise you do with your horse that doesn't require you to ride it.
