"Who are you going as?" Your best friend, Xiumin asked you as he routed through the various rails of costumes.

You just shrugged your shoulders and pouted your lips. You hadn't thought to much about the fancy dress party your college was throwing for Halloween, since nobody had asked you yet. although, deep down in the outs if your heart, there was a little voice screaming at you, urging you to make the first move and ask him out before another girl stole him away.

"Ahh, look at this awesome costume!" Xiumin gasped joyfully as he pulled a cowboy outfit from the rail, a deep drown hat, waistcoat with long flowing tassels, and a holster with plastic gun and a set of spurs inside a bag hanging from the coat hanger.

"Yee-haa," you cheered and smiled brightly at Xiumin when he threw his head back and laughed. "You could get one of those stick horses and ride around on it."

"Okay," Xiumin muttered with a giggle and slipped it back on the rail. "Maybe it's a little to childish."

You just continued to roam through the seemingly endless rack when Xiumin screamed your name so loud it made your heart thump and crash against your ribs. Spinning round you spotted Xiumin waiving an outfit about in the air and you had to snort back a laugh. "Xiumin, you can wear that."

It was an identical replica of Snow White's dress from the Disney Classic. The gown flowed down to the floor, a blood red cape attached the the shoulders wafting elegantly behind the gown. "You can wear it," Xiumin beamed. "I know Snow White is your favourite Disney film."

You took a step towards him and took the dress from him, running your fingers down the silk with a faint smile. "I've always wanted to be a Princess," you admitted, smiling down at the costume as you held it against your body.

Xiumin smiled, his eyes focused on a costume hanging on the rail beside where the Snow White one had hung. *You will get your fairy tale, _______. I will make sure.*

Pulling your strap to sit more comfortably onto your shoulder you stepped through the door and into your cool English classroom, today was the day you read out your favourite poems, the one you thought best resembles your feelings for Xiumin, but knowing how you struggled with public speaking, you understood full well you would probably choke half way through.

Your eyebrows furrowed when you spotted an apple sitting on the edge of your desk. Heading towards your table you sat down, only to realise that a single bite had been taken out of it. A small folded note was taped to the side of the fruit so you cautiously reached for it and ripped the paper off.

'I tasted it for you, it isn't poisoned. - Prince Charming'

You quickly looked around your class to try and spot somebody acting strangely, or even someone looking in your direction, but as normal, every other student was fishing pens and pads out from inside their bags.

Once the teacher started the lesson your nerves began to bubble up like lava, scorching your insides red hot.

"I'll go first," Xiumin called when the teacher asked for volunteers. He stood up from he seat beside you and shuffled his way towards the front if the class, clearing his throat and fiddling with the corners of his blue coloured paper nervously. "This isn't really a poem," Xiumin explained looking at your teacher with a faint smile. "But this song explains my feelings better than any poem could."

Xiumin cleared his throat again and sighed out a shaky breath, before singing the gentle lyrics with such beauty your jaw dropped and eyes popped.

"One Song
I have but one song
One song
Only for you

One heart
Tenderly beating
Ever entreating
Constant and true

One love
That has possessed me
One love
Thrilling me through

One song
My heart keeps singing
Of one love
Only for you."

Your mind rattled over and over again, trying to figure out where the heck you had heard those lyrics before.

You never would have thought a song could annoy you so much, not knowing where it was from puzzled your mind for the rest of the day, so much so you had even started singing it to yourself, hoping the words would snap your memory into working and spark up the answer. "Will you stop singing that song," your little brother moaned at you, slumping in his seat in the car as you were driven by your mum to the school fancy dress party.

You stepped out of your car and walked towards the entrance of your college. With a deep sigh and heavy footing you diverted your path away from the front door and towards the garden at the far end of the grounds, it was possibly your favourite place.

Roses, pansies, tulips as forget-me-nots sprouted in abundance all around, a weary path stretching through the sweetly scented wilderness and under a wicker arch, the branches completely concourse by a blanket of green ivy. With a smile you settled down on the edge of a small well built at the end of the path, the gravel circling it with a tall, proud apple blossom on either side, their branches entwining to create one arched wall of silver bark.

You reached into your purse and pulled out a coin, balancing it on the edge if your thump and using your index finger to flip it up into the air, the copper coin falling down the create a small splash as it hit the cool pool of rainwater at the bottom. "I wish Xiumin would love me, the way I love him," you mumbled to yourself, closing your eyes and blinking away a tear, the salty droplet following the coin down into the well.

"You don't need to wish for that."

Your heart thumped in your chest, you spinning around so quickly you tripped on the hem of your long dress and nearly fell into the well, a pair of strong arms capturing your waist and pulling your into his chest. "Xiumin, what-"

"Shh," he hummed, holding your body closer to his. Your eyes roamed down over his costume and a smile played at the corners of your lips. He was dressed to match you. The blue tunic with gold embroidery, the blood red cape flowing elegantly behind him as wind blew through it, the blue tights and brown boots. But the most amazing accessory by far was his smile. "You know," he started and started to lead you back towards the well. "I used to throw a coin into this well everyday."

"What did you wish for?" you asked as he laced his fingers with yours and let his head drop to settle on the top of yours. "That you would love me like I love you," he answered with a smile. Xiumin looked down at the ground and hummed inquisitively, letting your hand go he reached down and plucked a coin up from its hiding place between two pebbles.

He closed his eyes and smiled softly before dropping the coin into the water. "What did you wish for this time?" you questioned as Xiumin wrapped his arm around your shoulder and pulled you into his side.

With a simple kiss against your hair he breathes, in a soft tone, "I wished for our happily ever after."
