"What have I done this time?" Chen groaned annoyed as he ran his fingers through his hair and tugged against the strands to help subdue his frustration as he watched you throw another set of his jeans into a suitcase.
"Nothing. That's exactly what you do, Jongdae. Sod all!" You swiftly wiped away a silent tear as you barged past him and into the bathroom, yanking his toothbrush up out of the pot and making your way back into the bedroom you and your husband shared.
"Is this because I'm never home?" he muttered softly and took a step towards you, his hand placed against your shoulder, his face scrunching in pain when you rolled his hand off and moved away from him almost as if he were a bad stale smell and you were doing your best to avoid him.
"Well fucking spotted, Sherlock."
"But-"
"No!" you screamed and pointed his toothbrush at him. "I've given you second chances, third chances, I've actually lost count how many times I've given you another chance to prove yourself as a good husband and father. So, until you get your act together, I've arranged for you to live with Kris."
"I can't live with Kris! Do you have any idea how much Wendy hates it when I'm with her family. She says in a bad influence on their children."
"Do I look like I give a shit?" You growled, motioning towards your emotionless face. "Wendy has agreed to this! She knows how much it hurts me to see that you'd rather spend every waking hour at that fucking dance studio prancing about like a fairy than with your wife and unborn child!"
You quickly grabbed the bag and charged towards the front door, Chen following you like a shadow. You took him by surprise when you pressed your palm against his chest and pushed him out the front door, throwing his bag to land on his foot, a pained yelp escaping his lips and his vigorously rubbed at his toes through the rubber of his converse. "What will you do when our baby is born, and you can't provide for her."
"I'm only four months pregnant, you idiot," you spoke harshly, settling your hand against your visible bump. "Hopefully you would have had some kind of epiphany and will be back home. But until then, bye bye!" and you slammed the door in his face, drowning out his pained cried of your name.
__________
Twenty-four long, excruciatingly lonely hours had passed since you had thrown your husband out at four in the morning after he came home to find you packing his clothes away in a case.
"He needs to hurry up and get out of my house, ________," Wendy groaned with a sigh, you jumping and yanking the phone from her ear when she screamed at her four year old son for throwing a flour bomb at her two year old daughter. "He's been here two days and he's already corrupted my children. And do you wanna know the worse thing, Kris is actually letting Jongdae do it!"
"I know, I'm sorry, Wendy, but it's only until he realises what a neglectful dick he is." You shuffled on your sofa into a more comfortable position. "But I promise, I will make Chen pay for all the damage he has caused to your home."
Through the speaker you heard the sound of a door slamming and the deep sigh that could be easily recognised as Wendy's husband. "I've sorted it out," you heard Kris say.
"Sorted what?" Wendy asked, her phone still pressed against her ear.
"If that is ________, tell her to open her front door."
"________-" Wendy started but you interrupted her with a quick, "I heard him," before you stood up of your sofa and shuffled your way towards the from door, twisting the key you'd left in the lock so Chen wouldn't be able open the door. Pulling the door open with an emotionless expression, your jaw dropped and eyes bulged when you spotted Chen stood on the other side, a huge bouquet of glorious pink and purple tulips, a heart shaped box of chocolates and two balloons, one that said 'Sorry' and the other reading 'I love you'.
"Do you understand how hard it is to find all this stuff when it isn't Valentines day?" he grumbled with his cheeky smile.
"Jongdae-"
"I want you to listen. I'm sorry in never home, I'm sorry I was never here for you when you needed me, but I was always scared that if I didn't provide enough you would leave me, and just the thought of not having you in my life can bring me to tears. I took you for granted, and I am truly sorry for all the neglect and pain I've caused you." Chen sighed heavily and let the flowers lower down so you could see his tear stained cheeks. "What I'm saying is, I love you, and even though I don't say it everyday, that doesn't mean I don't have feelings for you."
You raised up your arm and wiped a tear away with the back of your hand and reaches forwards with your other, gripping ahold of Chen's collar and pulling him across the threshold, your lips smacking against his.
"Remind me to thank Kris for helping me arrange all this," Chen chuckled as he pulled you into his chest.
"That reminds me," you mumbled into his shirt. "I've promised Wendy you'll pay for any damage caused while you lived there."
"Really?" he asked and you nodded your head. "Well that was a mistake because I'll have to work more hours to come up with the money."
You furrowed your eyebrows and he burst out in laughter when you slapped his chest. "That is not funny Kim Jongdae!"
"I know, I'm sorry. But to make up for my absence, I'll book a holiday off work." Chen placed another light kiss against your lips. "I'm going to be around you so much you'll want me to go back to work."
