You groaned sleepily and reached to pull the blanket up over you head, curling your knees up to your chest and hugging them tightly, scrunching your toes and wrinkling your nose. You winced, your body restricting into a tight ball when the warmth of your duvet was stolen from you.

"Wake up! Wake up!" A high pitched voice sung and the mattress started to rock as it was used as a makeshift trampoline.

"Briar, please!" You begged and felt around for the quilt but your fingers came across a crumpled up bundle of fleecy fabric, so you pulled that over you instead.

"Yah!" A much deeper voice groaned and proceeded to pull the throw blanket back off you, your husband retrieving back his warmth you had claimed. You rolled over and held yourself up on your elbows as you glared down at your husband, his face set into a peaceful smile, the fleecy blanket tucked under his chin, his fluffy brown hair sticking up in all different directions.

"Kyunggie!" You complained and proceeded to prod his cheek with you finger, giggling when his nose scrunched up and his full heart shaped lips pouted. Bringing yourself down you pressed your lips to his and chuckled when his eyelids fluttered open. "Morning," you mumbled and combed your fingers through his hair.

Smiling brightly at you, he propped himself up using his arm and cupped your cheek with his hand, his thumb brushing against your cheeks.

"Appa!" Briar cooed and scrambled up the bed to hop into the gap between you, wrapping her arms around her fathers neck and burying her face in his neck. "Appa, I want breakfast!" She pursed her bottom lip and looked up at Kyungsoo through her long fluttering eyelashes.

With a smile Kyungsoo pecked your daughters cheek and scooped her up quickly, her squealing in delight as he hopped off the bed and threw her up into the air and caught her again. "Kyungsoo, be careful with her!" With your daughter only being two years old you still worried about everything to do with her, particularly when Kyungsoo and the others boys would play with her like this.

"Calm down, dear," he spoke softly and he sat Briar on his hip and held her close to him. "I would never let anything happen to her." Setting Briar down on her feet, Kyungsoo crouched in front of her and gripped her hands. "Sweetie, can you do me a favour?" Briar nodded her head quickly, her smile matching that heart shaped one of her fathers. "Would you go and get Umma's present from Santa from under the tree and bring it up for me?" He reached up to tuck a strand of her long hair behind her ear and continued with a small promise. "Do this and I will make you the best pancakes you've ever had!"

In a flash, your little girl was gone, giggling as she slid down the stairs on her bottom and dashes into the living room, retrieving the small square box from under it. Se was back in under a minute and when she passed Kyungsoo the gift he kissed we chubby cheek and told her to go organise the gifts into three piles. As she darted off back downstairs, Kyungsoo walked over to you and sat by your side, placing the tightly wrapped cube in your hands and pecking your cheeks.

"Kyungsoo, I told you to not bother buying me anything this year," you protested and looked down at the gift, rotating it round in your hands, marvelling at how the golden wrapping paper sparkled in the early winter morning sun.

"I didn't buy it, just open it and you will see." Sighing heavily you uses your nimble fingers to tear away the paper to reveal a black velvet box, greatly resembling the one he had handed to you the day he proposed. You didn't realise you had been holding your breath until you had opened the box and gasped.

Inside lay a thin, dainty and very delicate looking silver chain. And in the centre was a small jar no bigger the your thumb nail, it holding a tiny heart shaped bead within. He drew the necklace from the box and moved closer to you, fastening it around your neck and removing your hair from under the chain and soothing it down your back.

"That heart is to symbolise my own. And when you wear this, I want you to remember that my heart will always belong to you." His words melted your heart, your chest tightening and making it heart to breath.

"Oh my gosh, Kyungsoo," you gasped and you held the little jar between your fingers. "It's beautiful, you made this?"

Kyungsoo nodded and pressed his soft, plump lips to yours, mumbling "Merry Christmas, babe," into the kiss.
