"Baekhyun!"
The flurried footsteps of your husband echoed throughout your apartment as he sprinted across the tiled flooring, running from the kitchen, on one side, to the living room, on the other, in what seemed like less than half a second, his flour covered ' kiss the cook' apron still wrapped around his waist, damp tea towel in hand. He slipped as he rushed through the living room door, sliding halfway across the lounge on his backside, quickly hopping up off the cold flooring, rubbing at his sore bottom as he hobbled over to your side with a pant.
"What's up?" He gasped, still rubbing his hand against his sore spot.
"Give me your hand," you asked, a wide smile on your face as you reached your hand out, asking for him to place his fingers on your palm.
He obliged.
"Feel," you commanded sweetly, making his rest his soft palm against your swelling belly. "She's kicking."
Baekhyun's eyes widened, then sparkling brightly as he looked deep into yours. His stunned expression changing almost immediately into one of loving and contentment. "Wow," he breathed, his voice soft and quiet. At the sound of his voice, the young girl growing within your womb began to kick furiously, her feet and hands pressing firmly against your abdomen. "She's moving more," he gasped with a bright smirk.
"It's because she can hear you," you answer. "She loves the sound of your voice."
Baekhyun placed both of his hands firmly against your stomach and lowered his head to your bump, him starting to hum softly after waiting for her to settle down and become completely still, little kicks starting up again almost instantly. "Wow," he gasps again. He looks back into your eyes and says, "she's going to be trouble."
"Of course she is," you giggle, and cup Baekhyun's face with your hand, him tilting his head slightly so he could kiss your wrist softly. "She's got you as her father."
