"Must you go?" You sniffled, your eye stinging from the countless times you've rubbed the flowing tears away. They never stopped. Never faulting as you watched him pack away a mother set of of fresh jeans into his blue polka dot suitcase. "Tao, must you leave me?"

Tao sighed, freezing half way through folding his Wolf shirt, letting his fingers grip tightly against the sides of his large suitcase, his head hanging heavily like a wilting rose, delicate and beautiful, his blood red hair contrasting against his Snow White, flawless milky skin. His lips quivered as they parted, ready to speak, but all that came out was a strangled whimper. "I'm sorry, ______."

A small tear rolled it's way from the corner of his eye, smothering it into his cheek with the back of his hand, silently hoping you hadn't seen, for he hated you see him cry. He needed to be strong. If he looked weak and cried, it would only make him wish to stay, when he had to leave.

"It's my job, baby," he explained with a sniffle. "I must go."

You pouted, your lower lip quivering, you teeth chattering as a sorrowed shiver rushed up your spine. You looked at the suitcase with rage, mentally unpacking it, somehow hoping that if you stared at it hard enough the items of neatly folded clothes would fly back into their hangers.

"You're never around anymore, Tao!" You whined and took a step back from him as he reached a gentle hand out, ready you cup your cheek, only to grasp the stale summer air in his fingers.

With quick, fluid motions Tao wrapped you tightly in his arms, pulling your head to settle against his chest, the rapid and rather instead 'thump-thump thump-thump' of his heart filling your ears.

"Can't you take me with you?" You mumbled into the soft lavender scented cotton of his shirt.

Tao chuckled, resting his chin on your head and sighing heavily, breathing in the glorious citrus scent of your shampoo, locking the smell away in his memory. "I wish I could. But just remember-" He unwrapped his arms to hold you at arms length, staring into your watery eyes. "I will never forget you. How could I when your my everything. Without you I am nothing."

He hugged you again, this time tighter, safer and for much longer. Nestling his face in your hair he mumbled, "Just promise you won't for get me."
