"Baby!" Tao called out as he skipped through into the living room, his blonde hair still scruffy from his long nights sleep, his face semi-freshened with a damp cloth, a small amount of sleep still settled in the corner of his bright eyes. But when he didn't spot you lounging on the sofa his bright smile sunk into a frown and his once failing arms dropped to his side and swung lifelessly. "Babe?" He whined sadly, his eyes brows creasing slightly in the centre.
"Tao?" A familiar sing-song voice run in his ears and his mood brightened up almost instantly, him spinning around on the tips of his toes elegantly, darting to you to wrap his arms around your smaller frame, dwarfing you in his hold. "Tao, you're supposed to be in bed."
"No I'm not," he pouted childishly and proceeded to dot dozens of tiny kisses along your cheeks and forehead.
"I told you to rest today." Tao groaned audible when you spoke the word rest, he knew he needed it, but he didn't want to.
"I'm not going to bed," he argued back and you pouted your lip slightly. "And it doesn't matter how far you stick that lip out because it will not work." He placed a gentle kiss against your lips, almost stealing away your frustration. "It is my birthday today. It is my day and I plan to spend every second with you."
