Katniss POV- (Thursday night)
"Please, tell me what is wrong? You never act like this." I beg Willow.
Willow has been crying since she got home from school and she won't tell me what's wrong.
I suspect it's from Peeta being gone so long and she's at her breaking point but I don't know.
"Did somebody hurt your feelings?" I ask her.
"No." She says stubbornly.
"Was someone mean to you?"
"Nuh uh."
I sigh, "Are you sleepy?"
"No."
"Are you mad?" I ask her.
"No."
"Are you sad?" I ask her and she laughs a little at my rhyming.
"No." She groans, angry that I made her laugh.
"Are you crying because you miss Daddy?" I say, not knowing what else to ask her.
Willow shakes her head, "No."
This would be a lot easier if she didn't have two parents who are as stubborn as Peeta and I are.
"Then what is wrong, baby girl?" I ask her, beginning to cry myself-I've listened to her crying for eight hours now and I am going crazy.
I tried calling Peeta, hoping he could talk to her but I haven't heard from him all day. And I'm starting to get mad at him for it too because Willow really needs him right now.
I have never seen her this upset before about anything and it's starting to really worry me. And for her not to tell me what's going on is so unlike her too.
"Nothing is wrong." She says angrily and turns away from me.
I frown, not knowing what to do or say.
"What can I do to make you feel better?" I ask her, willing to do anything to make her happier.
"Nothing."
"What if I got you some ice cream?"
She shakes her head.
"Do you want me to hold you?" I ask her, wondering if maybe that will help her just a little bit.
Willow nods her head and I am glad-I just want to make her feel better.
"Come here, baby girl." I say holding my arms out to her, she sits up and hugs me, laying her head on my shoulder.
I frown and just hold her while she cries.
"Me and your baby brother don't like seeing you so upset, you know." I begin.
She wraps her arms around my neck and sits down in what's left of my lap-her stomach resting against my huge belly.
Maybe Rye will start kicking her and make her laugh at least a little-it usually does.
"Will you please tell me what's wrong?" I ask her softly, running my fingers through the back of her wild brown hair.
She shakes her head, wiping her nose on my shirt.
"Ew, dont get boogers all over me." I tease her and she actually laughs and looks at me.
She closes her eyes as more tears stream down her puffy cheeks.
"I really really miss Daddy. Then people have been being mean to me." She says and begins to to sob again.
Willow is very sensitive but she's also not one to really let things bother her unless it hurts her feelings a lot and I'm assuming this is the case.
