Katniss POV- (That night)

"She passed away sometime in the night, I'm so sorry." A nurse delivers the news to me.

I left for five minutes and she was fine when I left, how could she have died last night?

How could this be happening?

She can't be dead.

No amount of pain I've ever felt can compare to the pain I feel right now.

I feel immediately frozen and numb to the fact that my daughter is dead.

My father is dead, my sister is dead, Peeta's family is dead and my daughter is dead.

My pride and joy.

My baby girl and my best friend, my other missing piece.

Gone.

I fall into Peeta's arms but he doesn't catch me, he pushes me away, giving me the cold shoulder as usual.

I fall to the floor, landing right on my pregnant belly and I'm frozen.

I let out a blood curdling scream and gasps for air.

(End of dream)

I open my heavy eyes and look around, gasping for air.

"Katniss?"

I look over and see Peeta across the room, looking at me nervously, "Is it the baby?" He asks softly.

I catch my breath, trying not to puke and holding back every tear as I hear the steady beeping of my baby's heart-as strong as it was over six years ago.

It was only a dream.

"No." I choke out.

"Just a nightmare, I'm sorry." I say softly, feeling my heart beat out of my chest.

I look up at Willow's heart monitor for confirmation to see it's in fact still steadily beating.

It was all just a dream.

A terrible nightmare that I knew was coming.

I look down at my stomach and see I must've woken and startled Rye in there.

Poor little guy has had just as bad of a day as we have.

I'm surprised I haven't gone into labor or anything. He's been freaking out all day in there and I'm sure that's not good.

The doctor discovered that after all that, Willow only has a bruised lung and a concussion of course but besides that, she suffers no internal injuries or broken bones which is a miracle.

She's walking away with lots of bruising and the doctors say it's a miracle she's even alive, let alone to have little injury.

She has a bad concussion though.

It broke Peeta and I's hearts all over again when she woke up earlier this evening and didn't recognize either of us.

She had no recollection of us and was crying out of fear. She kept asking for me but didn't want me near her. She was afraid of us all, even Peeta and Finnick and Finn. She didn't even recognize Peeta's grandparents.

Willow for the first time in her life was afraid of 'strangers' but in all reality she was afraid of her family.

The doctor assured us by tomorrow morning all her memory will have been restored and she should remember everything up until the incident.
