Katniss POV- (Later that day)

"Hey, I think we forgot about these." Peeta laughs, handing me a small stack of envelopes.

"What are they?" I ask him.

He sits down next to me, "Open before Rye is born, open when Rye is born, when you're tired, when you're frustrated, when you are up with Rye and I am sleeping and you probably want to slap me."

I snort, "I could've opened all of these already."

"That's what I'm saying." He chuckles.

I smile, "Want me to open them now?"

"Well, you may as well."

"Alright but none of them better make me cry." I say, taking the first letter.

'Open before Rye is born' I read across the envelope and I open it.

(Letter)

'The next few hours are going to be hard for us both but I want you to know that I love you and I know you can do it no matter how much you think you can't. Just remember the harder you push through the pain (literally) the quicker he will be here. Good luck and I won't leave your side.

Love, Peeta.'

I laugh a little at his added humor and I smile at him, "Aw, that was cute." I say truthfully.

He shakes his head, "Next." He says.

'Open when Rye is born.'

(Letter)

'You did it. We are officially the parents of two beautiful children. Rye is perfect and I couldn't be more grateful. Thank you for Willow and Rye and for making me a Daddy. You are the best Mommy in the world and I'm so glad my children have you. I can't wait to see where life takes us and I know as long as we have each other, all four of us will be just fine. I love you so much, Katniss Mellark.

Peeta.'

I turn to him and he gives me a cheesy smile, "You're so sweet."

"They get better." He winks.

I read the other two letters and the last one has me shaking my head.

'Free pass to actually slap me' is what a little slip of paper in the envelope says.

I snort, "Did you run out of ideas?" I ask him.

He laughs, "Please don't use this."

"Come here." I say, grabbing his cheeks and giving him a big, hard kiss on his perfect lips.

"I love you." He says.

I smile, "I love you too, weirdo."

(A few hours later, before dinner)

"I'm starting dinner. Do you need me to get you anything?"

"A diaper and some wipes because he is a stinky baby." I say.

Peeta chuckles, "Want me to go change him?"

"No, it's okay. Just bring me the stuff and get dinner done." I say.

Peeta chuckles and gets me a diaper and some wipes.

"There you go." He smiles.

"Thanks." I say.

Peeta pats my shoulder, "I'll be in the kitchen and doing some laundry if you need me, just holler."

"We will be fine." I say.
