Peeta POV- (That night)

"You still haven't explained anything to me." Katniss says, coming over and sitting on my lap.

She wraps her arms around me and I wrap my arms around her waist, "I was waiting until Willow was asleep." I say, but really, I don't want to tell her.

"She's asleep." Katniss snorts.

I sigh, "And I don't want to upset or disappoint you." I admit.

"I won't be disappointed or upset.

"I'm serious. You're not gonna be happy after hearing any of this, I'm just warning you." I tell her truthfully.

I'm scared she's gonna be mad at me for some reason or mad at herself.

"Just tell me. You can tell me anything." She says, running her hand across my cheek.

I sigh, "Promise me you won't be mad at either of us?"

"Yes. I promise." She tells me.

I take a deep breath, "So a little over a week we got into an argument and you left. Do you remember any of that?" I ask her nervously.

She makes a face and shakes her head.

"Do you want me to tell you about it?"

She shakes her head and I feel relieved, "It doesn't matter now. It wasn't too big a deal right?"

"No, you were just having a bad day."

She nods.

"Anyways, you left to clear your head and you got into a wreck. I came down there immediately and you were just scraped and bruised but you did lose your memory ."

The color drains from her face, "Oh, Peeta that's why-"

"Just let me explain it all."

"Okay." She sighs.

"The doctor said he was sure it would come back but he didn't know for a fact so I immediately started to try and help jog your memory. And when I did, I told you all of our good memories together because I didn't want you to have to feel or even remember that pain from our pasts."

"Peeta." She whisper, looking at me right in the eyes.

"That's so sweet." Katniss says, running her soft hand across my cheek.

I sigh, "You didn't think so. You got mad at me for hiding the bad memories from you so I told you all of it. After that you said you didn't want to remember us if our life wasn't as happy as I made it out to be at the beginning."

She gives me a look.

"I'm telling the truth."

"I know. I'm so sorry. You know I would never go that far, especially knowing that we had kids. You told be about the kids, didn't you?"

"Of course but you didn't seem to care at first you did but you changed your mind after you found out. And I know it wasn't you, Katniss. I knew it wasn't."

"I just don't remember any of this. The last thing I remember is going to Bristol's house for the girl's play date."

"That was over a week ago." I tell her.

"I feel so bad for the things I said. You have to believe that I didn't have any control. I don't even remember."

"No. Katniss, of course. I know that." I say truthfully.

I knew it wasn't my real Katniss.

"Anyways, after you told me that I left and told you that when you needed me you could call me."
