Katniss POV- (A few days later)

"Hey, Mom." I say sitting down next to her on the couch.

She looks at me, "Go back to your bed."

"I'm sitting and Dr. Coles said I could get up to change rooms."

My mother laughs, shaking her head, "Peeta's gonna get an earful from his doctor for going to work."

"I already gave him an earful before he left but he promised me he would use his crutches the whole time and it's only for a few days so it can't hurt."

She sighs, "When will that kid come back to work?"

"When he's not sick anymore and Peeta doesn't trust anyone but Thom to watch it while he's not able to."

"Okay and why are you up?"

"I'm bored without Peeta up there bothering me."

She laughs, "Well, you're always tired so why not catch up on your sleep while you can?"

"Because I have slept more than I can sleep today."

My mom chuckles, "Willow said all you do is sleep."

"Well, only lately because I've been pregnant but before I would go help Peeta at the bakery or do house stuff or help at the school when Bristol needed off but now I can't do that."

"Can you help me fold this laundry?" My mom asks.

I laugh, "I would love to." I say and she pushes a laundry basket over to me and I start taking things out one by one and folding them and she does the same.

"You know, you guys have a lot of clothes." She says, looking at the growing pile.

"Honestly, a lot of this is from when Peeta was in the hospital. Willow and I didn't do much of anything while he was gone."

"I understand. Well, we will get you caught up with everything, don't worry."

"Thanks, Mom." I sigh and she smiles.

"So, I am sure Peeta told you but I decided I'm going to buy the house Willow and I went to look at the other day." She reveals.

I gasp, "Seriously?" I ask her excitedly.

"Yes, I move back in a month."

"Oh my gosh, Mom. This is awesome!" I say excitedly and she hugs me.

"I'm so excited." She tells me.

"Me too. Did you tell Willow?"

She shakes her head, "No, not yet."

"This is going to be awesome having you in town. She's going to be so happy."

"There's a room for each of the children, you know."

I laugh, "You can take them whenever you'd like. Just try not to take Rye too much until he's crawling or walking." I tease her.

My mother laughs, "Oh, Katniss."

"I'm kidding, you can have them whenever you'd like." I say.

She smiles.

I hug her again and she kisses my forehead, "I love you."

"I love you too." I say truthfully.

This is the first time since I was a small child that my mother and I freely told each other that.

"I'm so glad I got my head out of the gutter and came home to you." She whispers.

I nod, "I'm happy too."
