Peeta POV- (The next day)
"Where's Momma?" Willow asks me immediately.
I laugh, "Momma, is in bed asleep but guess what?"
"What?" Willow asks me.
"She felt much better last night so you guys get to come home." I tell her and Skyler.
Skyler smiles and so does Willow.
"Good because I have missed you guys so much and Rye missed you and Mommy too." Willow says.
"And I missed them too." Skyler adds in.
"We've missed you all too." I say truthfully.
Katniss's mom looks at me, "Is Katniss really better?"
"She was asleep when I left but last night she was feeling much better. Hopefully when she wakes up this morning it will be gone."
"I sure hope so. I hate that she was sick."
"Me too. It wasn't good either. I just hope it was a one day thing and none of us catch it." I say and she hands me Rye, setting his carrier in front of me.
"Hey, sleepy head." I say to a sleeping Rye and I kiss the top of his head and she helps me unravel him from his swaddle. I put Rye into his carrier, buckling him up.
"I have all of their things gathered up as well." Mrs. Everdeen says, gesturing to the couch.
"Great. Thank you so much." I smile.
She smiles back, "You're leaving for vacation tomorrow, right?"
I nod my head, "I can bring Buttercup here if it would be easier for you to take care of him." I suggest.
Willow gasps, "No, Daddy. Buttercup can't leave our house because that's his home and Grandma will just have to take care of him there."
Mrs. Everdeen laughs and Willow sits on her lap, "I agree with Willow, Peeta. I'll just go over and feed him until you get back. No big deal."
"Alright, if you change your mind just let me know before tomorrow. You have a key, right?"
She shakes her head.
"There's one outside under Willow's purple planter." I tell her.
"Okay, that sounds good. I'll just keep that key with me until you're back."
I nod, "Thank you so much for watching them while we were doing our thing and while Katniss was sick and thank you for watching Buttercup too."
"Not a problem. I'm glad to be back."
"You've been feeling alright, haven't you?" I ask her.
She nods her head, "I feel back to my old self. The better version."
"I'm so glad and so is Katniss."
She smiles sadly, "I'm just glad I get to be around these beautiful little kids you have."
"Me too." I say truthfully.
"Skyler, how old are you again, dear?"
"I am twelve." She says kind of shyly.
Mrs. Everdeen nods, "That's right. You remind me so much of my other daughter."
"That's what Katniss told me."
"It's true. My daughter had beautiful blue eyes and blonde hair like you too."
She smiles bashfully.
