Katniss POV-

"Katniss you come with me. Peeta stay with Willow until somebody comes to stay with her." Dr. Coles says, helping me into a wheelchair.

I look up at her, "I need Peeta to be by me the whole time, just wait a few seconds and my mom should be here."

"Katniss, we gotta see what's going on now. You shouldn't be in this much pain so early on. Peeta can come in as soon as Willow is taken care of."

"I know but you can wait a few minutes." I say stubbornly, crossing my arms.

I'm not going back without Peeta.

Hopefully my mom shows up soon because I have a feeling Rye is gonna be here within the next hour or two.

I let out an agonizing cry as a painful contraction hits me and that's when I thankfully see my mother running up to the hospital.

"There she is. Thank God. Go. Come on, Peeta." I groan as my mom walks in and Dr. Coles starts to wheel me off.

"We will see you in a bit. Be good." Peeta says, giving Willow a quick peck on the cheek and then running to me, waving back at my mother.

They take me back to a room and they start checking.

"Well, I haven't seen this much but you're already dilated to a 7." Dr. Coles tells me.

"How? I haven't even felt contractions until this morning."

"I am sure most of it happened in your sleep and that's why you are experiencing heavier contractions this morning."

"How much longer until you think he will be here?" Peeta asks her.

"Well, he hasn't crowned yet but feeling around, he's close. We are gonna get you in a room and I'll say within the next hour or two, we will have a baby." Dr. Coles says happily.

"Is it too late to get any kind of medicine?" I ask her.

"I can give you some good pain killers in your IV. It's too late to do an epidural, it won't help at this stage of labor." She says.

I groan, "Is Rye going to have to stay here?" I ask her nervously.

"What do you mean, Katniss?"

"He's early. By like seven weeks. You said if he was early he had to stay in the hospital for awhile."

She chuckles, "Do you remember a few months back how I gave a steroid shot to develop his lungs quicker, in case he was born at that time?"

I nod my head and Peeta sighs in relief as we both remember.

"His lungs will be strong and that's our main concern. As long as he has no other health problems, you'll be taking him home tomorrow afternoon. He's at a good weight, he's small because he's early but he's also big for his age. He's gonna be fine."

I look at Peeta and he smiles, "See, I told you not to worry."

"Now is not the time." I groan as I hold my breath as a sharp pain shoots through my lower body and it reminds me of the minutes before I had Willow but I know that even though I was fortunate enough to skip the beginning contractions, I still have quite some time to go.

Dr. Coles gets me into a room and forces Peeta and I to walk around some to try to speed things along but it doesn't help.

She let's my mother and Willow in since I still have awhile to go and Willow is freaking out.

I can tell that she's excited but she looks nervous.

"You're almost a big sister." Dr. Coles tells her as she pats her head.
