Chapter Fifteen

Katniss POV-

"Oh, Katniss. I'm so ready to see that little baby boy in person!!" Annie says excitedly, patting my belly.

I smile awkwardly.

"He looks like Peeta too." Glimmer tells me, looking at Rye's latest sonograms.

They all agree and goo over each picture.

Clove brought my pictures and I plan on giving the album to Peeta tonight or when everyone leaves, hoping it'll cheer him up some.

"I'm going to go see if Peeta needs any help in there." I say standing up.

"Don't over do it, Katniss." Bristol says.

"I'll be okay." I say and walk off as they all awe about my waddle.

I roll my eyes and sigh, glancing out the back window.

All the guys are out there wrestling around with Willow, Carter and Carson who are kicking the guy's butts.

When I get into the kitchen Finn is sitting on the counter top, talking to Peeta.

Peeta's eyes find mind and then he looks at Finn as he goes on and on.

"Uncle Peeta, it's so cool! It's like you have a robot leg!" I hear Finn exclaim excitedly.

Peeta smiles a little, but I can tell how insecure he is now that everyone is here and it's busy and loud.

He's barely talked to anyone since the outbursts earlier and I feel really bad for him.

"Thanks, Buddy." He sighs.

Finn turns around and sees me, his green eyes are big from talking with Peeta.

"Auntie Kat! Don't you like Uncle Peeta's new leg?" He asks excitedly and hops off the counter.

I walk around to them and lean against the counter.

"I love it." I say looking down at the floor.

"I'm sorry you had to lose your real leg but I think this one is really nice." Finn assures him.

"Thank you, Finn." He smiles sadly.

I look at Peeta and catch his eyes on mine.

"Do you need any help?" I ask them.

"No, we have it handled." Peeta says looking away from me.

I pat Finn's back gently and he hugs me, "When is he coming?"

"Just a few more months and you won't be the only boy anymore." I say.

"How long is a few months?"

"Like less than one hundred days." I shrug my shoulders.

Peeta laughs a little and puts some pans into the oven.

I feel bad, you'd think the guys would be in here helping him but they're not-maybe they offered but I don't know.

"Can I come see him once he gets here?"

"Of course." I say pushing his bronze hair out of his face.

He looks so much like Finnick it is unreal.

"I can't wait until Rye gets here!!"

"We can't either. It's gonna be a lot of fun, don't you think?" I ask him.

"Yep!! My mom and dad are excited too and so's Willow."

I smile.

"You're excited, right Uncle Peeta?" Finn asks him.
