Katniss POV-

"You know what else?" Peeta says softly, staring right into my eyes.

"What?" I say, wiping my tears off on my shirt.

"I couldn't have picked anyone better to be the mother of my children than you. You've been the most amazing mother to both of our babies and I know you don't remember it but at one time you were so in love with each of them."

"I still want to be. They're both so beautiful." I say, tearing up again.

"They are and you'll get there again. You just have to trust me, even if you find out I've made mistakes." Peeta says.

I swallow hard, nodding my head.

"I don't even remember our life before and I'm scared but I want it back. I want to remember it so bad." I cry.

He wraps his arms around me, kissing my cheek.

I feel a tingling sensation left behind after he does and I'm wondering if maybe that's a sign of some sort.

"I know, you do." Peeta says, rubbing my arm.

I nervously lean my head on his shoulder and he lays his head on top of mine.

"Peeta?"

"Yeah?" He whispers.

I swallow hard, "Effie was telling me she could get me into some special doctor that could fix me. I want to go."

"Katniss, I don't know if letting someone mess with your head is gonna help. That's scary stuff to deal with and a lot of the times doesn't even help. I've been doing a lot of research on it and only about 3% of people actually get their memories back and a lot of them don't even survive it."

My heart sinks, "Wouldn't it be worth the risk if I was in the 3%?"

"I want to say yes but it's not. I can't lose you."

I nod, "Okay. Then we will have to figure something else out."

"We need to go home first." He says.

My heart starts racing, "Okay."

"You want to come home with me, right?"

"Yes. Of course. I just-I'm nervous." I say truthfully.

I'm so scared I'll mess up or hurt our daughter's feelings because I don't remember anything about her.

"There's nothing to be nervous about. I'll be there to help you and Willow will be too. We aren't letting you do this on your own." Peeta tells me, holding my head to him.

"Then let's get out of here. Haymitch and Effie have been driving me insane since I got here. Strangely enough I remembered how crazy they both were but I still came because I remembered them." I explain to him.

Peeta laughs, "How about we leave tomorrow?"

"But where are the kids?"

"In District Eleven with my cousin for as long as it takes me to convince you to come home."

"Don't you want to go back already?"

"I didn't think I would find you this quickly or that you would agree this quickly either but I've only been looking for two days."

"Oh."

"Maybe we can stay, get a room and explore this place. You know that this new Katniss hasn't gotten to explore the Capitol like the old one has."

I smile a little, "How long will we be staying? I really want to see our kids. I want to start getting to know them and stuff."

"Only today and tonight. We can leave here on the first plane in the morning." Peeta says.
