Katniss POV-
"How come her gets to have one of those books and I don't?" Willow asks Peeta.
"Because she knows how to write and you don't." He teases her.
"I know how to write!"
"What can you write?" Peeta asks her.
"Bristle taught me how to spell my name and your name and Momma's name and Bubba's name and 'Mellark' and how to spell 'I love you' and spell 'Buttercup.' That's a bunch of words for a six year old." Willow says dramatically.
I laugh a little, shaking my head.
Peeta chuckles, "It is. I didn't know you knew so many words to spell."
"Yeah, cause I am smart, remember?"
"You're very smart." He confirms.
"So can I get a book like Skyler?"
"How about you get a new sketchbook instead?"
She gasps, "A sketchbook!"
He laughs, "That's what I thought. Let Skyler do her own thing and you do yours."
"But I want to be like Skyler."
"You don't want to be like me, Willow." Skyler says with a face.
"Yes, huh. You're really pretty and nice."
"Thank you but so are you." She says.
Willow shakes her head, "Nuh-uh."
I roll my eyes.
"Yes, you're beautiful." Skyler says.
"Really?" Willow asks, her eyes widening.
Peeta, Skyler and I all nod our heads.
"That's what my parents tell me but I don't see how I'm beautiful." She says with a shrug.
"You don't see it but other people do." Skyler says.
Peeta scoffs, shaking his head at his daughter.
"What?" Willow asks him.
"You're just like your mother."
"What are you talking about?" I laugh.
"Every time you tell you that you're beautiful you deny it." Peeta says.
I give Peeta a look.
"But Momma is so beautiful and pretty." Willow says.
"I know but she doesn't think so." Peeta tells her.
"Stop." I tell Peeta with a laugh.
"What? I'm just telling you the truth." He says.
"How come you don't believe it, Willow?" Skyler asks her.
"Because I just don't. When I look in the mirror I look ugly."
"You're not ugly though, at all." Skyler says.
"There's nothing ugly about you, Willow. And baby girl, you're six don't worry about how you look."
"Yeah, Willow. Just know that no matter what you think or what people say you're beautiful, alright?" I tell her.
"Okay, you too then, Momma." Willow says.
I snort, "Fine, then when Daddy compliments me I will not deny it."
"Good. Me neither." Willow says.
"Good." I say.
Peeta sighs, "We were even but now we are back to being outnumbered, Buddy." He tells Rye.
