Katniss POV-

"Peeta! Stop!" I squeal as he chases me around the yard with a water hose.

He laughs, "You did it to me!" He says, spraying me in the face with it.

I scream and he reaches out, grabbing me by the waist and spinning me around as he holds the water hose over my head.

"Peeta! Stop!" I say.

I see Prim approach us from the corner of my eye.

"I thought you were gonna water Mom's plants?" Prim says.

He let's go of me and I shake my wet hair all over him and he shields his face from it, even though the rest of his body is soaked from trying to get me and from me spraying him.

"We did and we watered each other." I laugh.

Prim smiles, "Now it's just muddy out here."

I gives Peeta a look and I nod at Prim.

Peeta understands me perfectly.

He kneels down and scoops her up and I take the water hose and sprays them both down.

Prim is giggling harder than ever and squealing too as I take some mud and put some of it on her little cheeks.

"No!" She says and Peeta let's her down.

Then Prim and I team up on Peeta, throwing mud and spraying him with water at the same time, making it even worse.

Peeta laughs, jumping up, obviously determined to get us both.

We both take off, running through the yard and he chases us, having such childlike fun.

My mother comes outside and just shakes her head, watching us act like children out here.

Prim runs over to Mom and she backs away, "No, you three aren't coming in here until you wash off." She laughs.

"We are washed off." Prim tells her.

I sneak up behind Peeta and drop a handful of mud on his blond head.

He bursts out laughing, "Seriously?" He laughs.

I run away, quickly washing my hands off and running onto the back porch.

"Hey, Mom!" I say, smiling deviously at my mother.

"No way." She chuckles and quickly goes inside, locking the door.

Prim and I both turn around to get drinks while Peeta washes the mud out of his hair.

Suddenly he comes up behind me, holding me by my waist.

"No!" I laugh, knowing exactly what he's going to do and I try to wriggle out of his arms.

"Kiss me or you're getting mud in your hair too." He laughs.

I roll my eyes, "Peeta, no. You know it'll take forever to get out."

He smirks, "Then kiss me."

"How long?" I ask him.

He snorts, "Just a little kiss, right here." He says, pointing to his cheek.

I snort and turn myself so that we are face to face.

I lean forward and at the same time as I goes in for his cheek, Peeta turns his head so that I kiss his lips and then he drops the mud in my hair.

"Peeta Mellark!" I yell, pushing him away.

Prim has a fit of laughter as I playfully punch Peeta and pushes him back with my head, packing the mud more into my hair and all over his shirt.
