Katniss POV- (A few weeks later)

"Are you serious right now?" Peeta asks me angrily.

"What?" I say.

"I can not believe you just said that to her and now she's upset."

"Well, it's true." I say.

"How could you tell her that, Katniss?" He asks me and I can see the anger in his eyes.

"Listen, with Rye teething and everything else going on between us maybe we need a break?" I suggest, rolling my eyes.

"Oh. You mean run away? Ignore our problems. Act like nothings happened until one of us decides to come back?" Peeta says.

"Sure. Why not?" I mouth off.

"Maybe because one of us has to stay with the kids."

"Then it can be you because I need to go try to sort my feelings out about you." I say angrily.

"Now you don't even know if you love me? Great."

"I didn't say that but I'm still mad at you and fed up with you lying to me. I'm fed up. All of it."

Peeta rolls his eyes, "Go ahead. Leave then. Be just like your mother and leave your kids because it's too hard for you to deal with."

"I didn't say that I wasn't coming back, Peeta! And it's not too hard for me to deal with but I want some answers."

"Nothing is going on between us, Katniss! I just hired her to help out around here and the bakery and I don't feel like it's right to tell our daughter that I'm cheating on you when you know damn well that I would never do that! Ever!" Peeta yells furiously.

"I don't even know anymore."

"Wow. What's gotten into, Katniss? You don't even trust me."

I shrug my shoulders, "I just find it hard to trust someone who snuck around my back, in my house and had them 'clean' while I was out and you were home. Just you two here. All alone. Did she even clean anything? Or did you get the job done with her, send her on her way and clean this place yourself?" I ask him.

"You're ridiculous." He says, shaking his head at me.

"I'm not ridiculous. You'd be feeling the same way if I would've done that and don't lie because you know you would."

His ego wouldn't allow it.

"Whatever. Just go." Peeta says.

I roll my eyes at him, "You better not have your girlfriend back over here while my kids are with you." I say, grabbing my phone and my keys.

Peeta snorts, "Your kids?"

"Yes." I say.

"Try 'our' kids."

"Doesn't matter. If you wanted to be their dad bad enough you wouldn't have done what you did."

"Wow, Katniss. You're taking this a little too far." Peeta says.

"No. You did. You snuck around behind my back! I would never do that to you. And then I catch you with her in our room? I don't even want to know what you were doing."

"Okay. You really want to know what we were doing?"

"Yes!" I yell.

"I was showing her something I bought you! I wanted to see if as a woman she thought it was nice! Okay?"

"You know me better than anyone. Why did you have to ask her?"

"I just did. And I'm sorry that I had her clean our house while you weren't home. Several times. I was wrong to do that but I don't have the energy and you don't either. I thought I was helping you out."
