Katniss POV- (The next morning)
"Good morning." I say as Willow walks into the kitchen with my mom.
"Good morning." They both say.
"Hungry?" I ask them.
Willow comes running over, jumping into my arms.
"I'm always hungry." She tells me.
I laugh, giving her a kiss on the nose, "Trust me. I know."
"Did you and Daddy have fun on your date?" Willow asks me, wiggling her eyebrows.
I snort, "We did. Did you have a good time with Grandma?"
"We had lots of fun, right Willow?" My mom says.
Willow nods, "Uh huh."
"Were you good?"
"I'm always good." She says.
I laugh, "Oh, I don't know about that." I tease her.
"Where's Bubba and Daddy?" She asks me.
"They're both still asleep. Rye slept all night."
"Wow." Willow says.
"Yep, but I think it is only because Daddy was holding him."
Willow nods, "Oh."
"Yep. So what should I make?"
"Let me, Kat." My mom insist, coming behind the counter.
I shake my head, "Are you sure?"
"Yeah. Willow missed you so much last night. I'll tend to breakfast. How about some pancakes?"
"Whatever you want to make." I say.
"Peeta likes pancakes, right?"
"Yeah." I nod.
"And you two love them, don't you?"
"Yes, me and my Momma love them almost more than cheese buns." Willow tells her.
I chuckle, "Peeta and I went to that new restaurant down town at eleven last night. We ate a bunch of sweets and then came home and crashed."
"Oh, I heard that place was nice. I ran into Finnick at the store the other day. He said he loves it."
I snort, "Does that surprise you any?"
"Actually, no." My mother chuckles.
"What else did you do with Daddy?" Willow asks me.
"Well, he took me to this club and we went dancing."
"You danced?"
"Uh huh."
"I've never seen you dance before."
"Well, maybe sometime this summer we can dance, okay?"
"When your mom was your age, her and her dad would dance together in the living room in there. With no music at all." My mom tells Willow.
"In our living room?"
"Yes. I've lived here since I was born."
"Woah." Willow says.
"She use to stand on his feet and he would dance her around the room for hours." She explains quietly, staring at me.
Willow looks at me and I look down at her, "I don't really remember." I say truthfully.
"You remind me so much of your mother when she was your age. Except you talk." My mom says with a wink.
I laugh and Willow looks confused.
"My Momma didn't know how to talk when she was six?" She asks her confused.
Mom laughs, "Oh, no. She knew how to talk. She just didn't like to do it."
I smile a little at my mom as she pats my arm.
"Oh. Sometimes she doesn't like to talk even though she's old." Willow says.
"Well, sometimes mommies are like that." My mom tells her.
"Momma, I just heard Rye crying." Willow tells me.
"Really?" I ask her.
Willow nods, "Yes."
"I'll go check on him." I say and she jumps out of my lap.
I get up and sure enough, I hear Rye bawling from upstairs.
I rush up the stairs and see Peeta in there trying to get dressed and calm Rye down at the same time.
"Hey. You need some help?" I ask Peeta.
He sighs in relief, "Yeah. I think he's just hungry."
"I'll bet. I'm not sure the last time he ate. He slept all night." I say, taking Rye from Peeta.
I close the door and I start feeding him and that's exactly what he wanted.
"My mom is making pancakes." I tell Peeta as he gets dressed.
"Honestly, I'm still stuffed from last night." Peeta admits.
"Me too." I laugh.
Peeta sits on the bed, "Is Willow up?"
"Yeah. She's waiting on you and her baby brother to come down there."
"Oh, well I'll go down now unless you want me to help you with him after he eats?"
I shake my head, "I got it. Later you can make him mad and give him a bath."
Peeta chuckles, "Okay." He says, kissing my forehead and then going down stairs.
"I missed you last night, baby boy." I whisper to Rye.
He let's out a big burp and I gasp, making a face, "That was a big burp." I giggle.
This amuses him and he let's out a little giggle.
"Yeah, it was." I say in a baby voice.
He finishes eating and I take him to his room.
I change his diaper and his clothes and we go downstairs.
"There they are." Peeta says with a smile.
"Bubba!" Willow squeals, jumping from her chair and running over to me.
He just looks at her and blinks.
"I missed you." She says, taking his little hands in hers.
Suddenly, Peeta gets a phone call and leaves the room.
A few minutes later he comes back, "Katniss? Can I talk to you a moment?"
***Literally just threw that in there. Give me an idea of what Peeta needs to talk to Katniss about! Who was it? What was it about? No deaths preferably! But I want some drama! Any and all ideas will help me out! Give me something no body would expect :) I'll give a shoutout to whoever's idea I use!
