Katniss POV- (April 18th-Katniss and Peeta's 7th Wedding Anniversary)
"Good morning, my beautiful wife." Peeta says coming into the kitchen.
"Good afternoon." I correct him.
He chuckles, wrapping his arms gently around my baby belly and kisses my cheek, "About that-"
"You were hurting last night, I could tell. You needed some extra sleep." I say truthfully.
Peeta has been doing okay but his body is still extremely sore and he's got blisters all over from his prosthetic. Plus, I know he's still pretty upset about the whole thing and I don't blame him. He tries to hide his anger but I can see it in his face, even if he attempts to hide it.
"The day is half over." Peeta says.
I turn and come face to face with him, wrapping my legs carefully around waist and pulling him to me.
"Happy Anniversary." I say pulling his lips to mine and kissing him softly.
We pull away and he smiles a little, "Happy Anniversary to you too." Peeta says smiling a little.
"I made breakfast." I say pointing to the stove.
"What did you make?" He asks.
I snort, "Pancakes. Well, I tried, but I didn't do that great, I'm sorry."
Peeta laughs, "I bet they taste great. Did you already eat?"
"Yeah, I was gonna wait but I was starving. I'm sorry."
He smiles, "It's alright. I wouldn't have waited for you either if I was pregnant."
I giggle, "It's a good thing you're not pregnant."
Peeta laughs, "I have a feeling I will look like it after I finish these pancakes though. You did good, baby." He says with a mouthful of food.
I laugh, "Thank you."
He smiles and sits down next to me.
"It's so quiet without Willow here." He yawns.
"I know, I miss her already."
He snorts, "You know we do this every year."
"What?"
"We have Willow stay with someone so we can spend our anniversary together and then before the day is even up we go get her or spend the whole day talking about how much we miss her." Peeta says.
"I know but she's at school right now so it's like normal."
"True. But hey, if we want we can go get her after school and if not that's okay too." He shrugs.
I shrug, "I guess let's see how the day goes. Next year is going to be worse for us."
"Nobody is going to want to take a 10ish month old and Willow for the night." He's teasing of course.
Everyone loves watching Willow and if Rye is as good as she was as a baby, they'll watch him too. But Peeta and I are crazy enough to watch three kids plus our own at one time so maybe we can sucker Johanna or someone into it.
But we always take Finn on Finnick and Annie's anniversary and we took Carter and Carson when Bristol and Blake were together and we take them all the time.
"I bet someone will." I laugh.
"I bet so too." He says.
"So, I was thinking about last year. Do you remember the conversation we had and what we did a year ago today?"
