Evo's POV

I left the mansion and went straight to Kirstin's condo unit. I have her card key since she's still unconscious.

After I slapped that woman for what she did to Kirstin, I just wish she'll stay away from us.

Kirstin's still unconscious. I sat at the bed beside her and watched her.

I missed her. After a year, ngayon ko pa lang ulit siya nakita. Why did she disappear all of a sudden a year ago?

"Hmm.."

She slowly opens her eyes at inilibot niya ang paningin niya sa buong paligid. She must be thinking how come she's now in her place.

"E-Evo? What're you doing here?" she asked as soon as she noticed my presence.

"You were unconscious, so I brought you home. Pinakialaman ko ang wallet mo and I found your card key. I'm sorry. Do you want anything?"

She got up and trying to contemplate my words and tried to remember what happened earlier. I still can't read her mind.

She's been always like that. She's always a mystery to me. She's too close but felt so far. I tried to reach her before but it's always her who kept the distance.

"Where's Mayumi?"

I was taken aback upon hearing that woman's name. Just by hearing her name irritates me. Now why is she looking for her?

"Why? You're still concern about that woman after she pushed you down the stairs?"

Her right eyebrow rise as I ask her that question. Why? She's going to act angelic again and forget what had happened to her? That Mayumi needs to pay for what she did to Kirstin.

"Pushed? Hindi ako tinulak ni Yumi sa hagdanan, Evo. It was Chelsea's girls."

Now it's me who raised an eyebrow to what she said. Or did I hear it wrong?

Hindi siya tinulak ni Yumi and it was Chelsea's slaves?

Oh yes, slaves. Sunud-sunuran lang naman sila ng Chelsea na iyon.

"Don't tell me you blamed her for what happened to me? What did you do to Yumi, Evo? I know you."

Now I'm caught off guard. I suddenly felt a little ache in my chest. That was the first time I hit a girl. That hard. And I know it really pained her.

"Say something, Evo. What did you do to Yumi? Did you throw foul words again? Yumi protected me from Chelsea's dirty mouth; it wasn't her who pushed me."

I falter for a second. What did I do? I forgot that Yumi's also a woman and why? Why did I slap her? Because of my anger. Because I'm too concerned about Kirstin that I forgot which is which.

"I-I.. I slapped her." I'm stuttering.

"What?!" she exclaimed in surprise and concern towards Yumi.

She protected her huh? Then what did I do? Now, I'm really guilty.

"Apologize to her. Make it up to her, Evo. How could you hit a girl? A girl who did nothing wrong."

She's right. How could I? But hell no. I'm never gonna apologize to that woman. I have my pride and I'm not going to break it free just because Kirstin told me so.

NO! I'm not going to apologize to Yumi. I'll just act as if nothing happened. And forget all these incidents. Even the truth that she didn't push her.
