Yumi's POV

"E-Evo... k-kai-kailangan ko ba ta-talagang... gawin... 'to?" hingal na tanong ko.

Pinatakbo lang naman ako ni Evo sa field. Bakit? Kasi tinatamad daw siyang tumakbo para sa sprinting nila sa PE.

Ang saya diba?

"Of course. It's your role as my slave. Bilisan mo ang pagtakbo, wag kang lalamya-lamya."

Kung makautos kala mo ang dali-dali lang tumakbo. Ang sarap mabuhay kasama si Evo. *insert heavy sarcasm*

At si ako naman, syempre walang nagawa kundi sumunod. Di naman ako runner para tumakbo ng 6 lapses noh!

I'm a swimmer. Mas okay pa sana kung swimming 'to. E kaso nasa lupa ako at wala sa tubig.

Psh! Nakakainis 'tong lalaking 'to. Kung hindi lang talaga 'to katulad ni Drake na may sapi, kanina ko pa 'to sinapak.

Evo's POV

I watched her running as I check the stopwatch I'm holding when someone pats my shoulder.

Paglingon ko, I saw her.

"Anong ginagawa niyo ni Yumi?" she asked.

"I ordered her to do the sprinting in behalf of me."

I saw her widen her eyes at napanganga siya ng bahagya sa sinabi ko kapagkuwa'y hinampas ako sa braso.

"You let a girl run for your grades? How could you, Evo?"

I face her and give her a smirk.

"Why? Are you concern that Yumi can't run that fast and I might fail this subject?"

"Asa ka pa! I'm concern about her since she's a woman and you let her run at tirik na tirik pa ang araw oh. Isa pa---"

She didn't finish her statement dahil pareho kaming napalingon sa sumigaw ng pangalan ni Yumi.

"MAYUMI!"

And we saw Ayato na kinakampay pa siya.

At ang babaitang iyon naman ay lumapit kaagad kahit hindi pa tapos ang 6 lapses na pinapagawa ko sa kanya.

"Ba-bakit?" hingal na tanong niya nang makalapit siya sa kinaroroonan naming.

"We need to go somewhere." Pagkasabi ni Ayato 'nun ay agad niyang hinila si Yumi.

Pero bago pa sila makaalis ng tuluyan ay hinigit ko rin ang kabilang braso ni Mayumi.

"Where do you think you're going?" I asked him.

"I've got business with her, so let go of your hand."

Instead of letting her go, I tighten my grip on her wrist. I'm not yet finish with her.

"She's mine for today, Ayato. So back off!"

I slightly pull her closer to me.

"You've got your time. She's mine now, so YOU back off." He pulled her closer to him.

"No. She's staying with me." I pulled her again.

"No! She's coming with me." He pulled her again.

Para kaming mga bata na nag-aagawan ng candy.

Pero bago pa ako makapagsalita ay marahas na pumiglas si Yumi sa pagkakahawak namin sa kanya.

"Ano ba kayong dalawa? Kung makahila kayo, para kayong nakahila ng robot! Nasi-stress ako sa inyo."

That's the first time I saw her getting irritated like that.

Pero hindi talaga nagpatinag si Ayato dahil hinila na naman siya nito at kinaladkad paalis.

Wala na akong nagawa. He's very persistent. I don't know what business he has with Yumi but as far as I know, he's a woman-hater.

Natauhan ako nang marinig ko ang mahinang pagtawa ni Kirstin.

Nandito pala siya. I almost forgot her presence dahil sa inis ko.

"What're you laughing at?" I asked at saka naman siya tumigil sa pagtawa pero halata namang pinipigilan niya.

"You're jealous."

I crease my forehead dahil sa sinabi niya.

Is that a joke? Me? Jealous? What the hell!

"What kind of nonsense is that?"

"I can see it, Evo. The way you deliver your words to Ayato because of Yumi? Yes you are jealous."

"Tss... ewan ko sa'yo."

I turn my back on her at nagsimulang maglakad paalis sa field.

She got humor. Why would I be jealous? I'm not into the likes of that woman. She's annoying as ever.

"You like her, Evo. In denial ka lang." narinig ko pang sigaw niya.

That's absurd. A real joke. Why the hell would I like her? She's not my type.

I just stopped them dahil hindi pa tapos ang pinagagawa ko sa kanya. That's all. Nothing more.

And why would I like her if I'm still in the phase of moving on?

Yes, I'm moving on from the feelings I've got for Kirstin.

The misunderstanding was also cleared. The picture of that club girl a year ago with a rumor that it was her wasn't true.

It was Chelsea's plan to ruin Kirstin because she was envious of her.

And now that she's back, she's back as different version of the girl I liked from before.

She's engaged now.

I still like her but I can see that she's already happy.

Kahit masakit, susuportahan ko nalang siya.

Maybe we're not really meant for each other. Ganoon naman talaga diba? If you love someone, set them free.

And it's all about acceptance.

I'll just have to accept it.

"You like her, Evo. In denial ka lang."

Bigla ulit nagpanting sa tenga ko ang sinabi niya kanina.

There's no way. Or maybe she's just trying to pair me up with Yumi dahil nakikita niya akong nasasaktan sa engagement niya with another man?

It's probably like that. Yes, that's right.

There's no way that I like that woman. She's far different from Kirstin.

I don't like her and it's just Kirstin's alibi for me.
