"Silverpup from this heartbeat on you shall be known as Silverpaw. Your teacher will mainly be me but everyone will take part in training you," I told her.

Silverpaw's eyes gleamed. Her marking looked just like her mother but her personality was just like her fathers. She was shaking in fear and excitement. Ever since her father's death she hadn't liked a lot of attention drawn on her.

"Twistedpup from this heartbeat on you shall be known as Twistedpaw. Your main teacher will me Riversong but everyone has special talents to share with you."

Twistedpaw leaped beside Silverpaw and touched his nose to her cheek to calm her down. She relaxed a bit but once she heard the mutants chanting her new name fear took over again.

I sighed and leaped down beside her. "Are you okay," I asked in the most gentle way I could. I wasn't known for being gentle or even knowing how to be gentle.

She gulped. "I just want to be alone for a bit."

"Okay," I murmured as I blinked at Truster. He got the message and padded toward her. He urged her toward his den with Twistedpaw looking crestfallen.

"Come on," I urged him as I nudged his haunch. "Let's practice battle moves with an audience. I know that you practiced with Silverpaw so lets just see where you are at."

He looked at the Professor before lowering into a crouch. He puffed out his fur and snarled. His method was to look strong and to strike fear into me. That was a normal Claw Wolf reaction.

I was different. I slicked my fur down and acted weak. However I was explosive. In one movement I struck a paw for his chest. He staggered but managed to throw his weight into my shoulder. It didn't work though. I just turned and thrust my legs against his paws and he collapsed.

To my surprise he leaped right up and only my shoulders. He pressed my wings to the ground up I will still bigger and all I had to do was stand off and he slid off. I pushed a paw against his chest and he wiggled but he couldn't manage to move.

I lifted my paw and he rolled on his stomach before forcing himself to his aching paws. He shook out his fur and his tail drooped since he thought that he had failed.

"You did great," I assured him as I cuffed his ear. "Much better than me at your age."

"Really," he asked as he tilted his head. "You?"

I chuckled and nuzzled his fur. "Hard to imagine, huh?"

He nodded. "What about you Tony?"

Tony took a step toward Twistedpaw and I struggled not to snap at his throat. "I wasn't a bad fighter at your age but you are certainly impressive."

Twistedpaw brightened and let out a happy yip. "I'm ready to fight with full wolves!"
