I stalked toward the holding cell after another day of battle. My body ached and my healing was taking slower than usual.

Suddenly I heard a screech and I saw the holding cell open. Logan rushed out and bounded to my side. "Are you alright," he asked with concern.

I nodded. "I'm fine. Just a bit tired. Are you going to listen to the full wolf ceremony?"

"Of course," assured Jean as she sat beside Runningpaw who looked a little less pathetic than before. He actually seemed excited.

Logan smiled and sat beside her. Everyone clustered around the pups and I bolted to the roof of the holding cell. I let out a howl although everyone was already gathered. "We are gathered here today for a very important ceremony. That of a full wolf."

"Pups step forward!"

They all lumbered forward with fear and excitement shinning in their eyes. It warmed my heart and made my life look up a bit. If they were so excited for a name than I should be grateful for the things that I had in my life.

"Do you promise to uphold the Wolvian Law and protect your fellow pack mates even at the cost of your own life," I asked, although I didn't really need to. They had already proved themselves worthy.

"I do," murmured Riverpaw. She was the first one to speak because she was the fastest talker.

"Me too," added Stonepaw, he certainly wasn't going to be beaten by Riverpaw.

"Yes," Nightpaw whispered so low that I couldn't hear her but I knew that she had said it.

"I do as well," barked Lingeringpaw as she turned her muzzle to the sky.

"Without a doubt," Deadpaw breathed with such compassion it almost swept me off my paws.

"Of course," Runningpaw muttered in his usual sour tone.

"Then by the powers of Lupus I grant you all your warrior names," I yowled as I lifted a paw to the sky and bellowed as loud as I could so that everyone could hear me.

The pups' eyes shone and I'm surprised they didn't leap right off of their paws. They were so excited and I wasn't about to take that away from them.

"Riverpaw from his moment on you shall be known as Riversong! Lupus honors you intelligent and bravery and welcomes you as a full wolf of the er-"

"X-Pack," murmured Tony as his eyes shone. "Let's call this the X-Pack."

I dipped my head to him. "That's a great name," I rumbled. "Of the X-Pack."

Riversong dipped her head and turned her head toward Stonepaw. It was his turn.

"Stonepaw from this moment on you shall be known as Stonestept! Lupus honors your dedication and creativity and welcomes you as a full wolf of the X-Pack."

"It's your turn," murmured Stonestep into Nightpaw's ear.

"Nightpaw from this moment on you shall be known as Nightsecret. Lupus honors your cunningness and selflessness and welcomes you as a full wolf of the X-Pack."

Nightsecret's eyes shone in pride and this was the first time I had ever seen her when she was filled with pride. She was either afraid of terrified.

"Lingeringpaw from this moment on you shall be known as Lingering-"

"Wait," she called as she lifted a paw.

The pups gasped and I narrowed my eyes. "What is it Lingeringpaw?"

"I want to be called Lingeringbadger," she barked as she turned her eyes toward me. "After my brother."

I dipped my head. "Very well. Lingeringpaw from this moment on you shall be known as Lingeringbadger! Lupus honors your commitment and loyalty to your brother and welcomes you as a full wolf of the X-Pack."

"Runningpaw from this moment on you shall be known as Runningbreeze. Lupus honors speed and passion and welcomes you as a full wolf of the X-Pack."

Runningbreeze looked a bit disappointed, not at his name but that Skypaw wasn't with him. I would have called Skypaw, Skywing. Badgerpaw I would have named Badgerclaw but that didn't matter now. Also Flamepaw (I didn't forget about her) I would have called Flamestrike.

"Now Deadpaw." Deadpaw took a step forward and gulped. No offense but Dead wasn't easy to work with. "Deadpaw from this moment on you shall be known as Deadspirit. Lupus honors your loyalty and ingenuity and welcomes you as a full wolf of the X-Pack."

"Riversong!"

"Stonestep!"

"Nightsecret!"

"Lingeringbadger!"

"Runningbreeze!"

"Deadspirit!"

Everyone yelled their names until they echoed around our enclosure, even the humans did. They didn't understand these type of ceremonies because they weren't wolves.

"And to our new alpha Starlight!"

I turned my attention to Tony who was eyeing me with pride. "Too late for that," I inwardly growled.

However everyone was already chanting my name. "Starlight! Starlight!"

I felt a rush of pride. I had a pack, a pack of wolves.
