I turned to everyone. "We have to leave and we have to leave now. It is winter and the temperates are beginning to drop. We can't risk another night here."

"How are we going to get anywhere," fretted Storm. "We can't fly like you five can."

Thruster turned to me. "What about the sleds. There are less mutants now for us to carry and more wolves to help. I think that we can do it."

I flapped my wings and turned to Thruster. "How about we have two sleds but we can fly. It will take less time and there won't be as many obstacles."

I nodded in agreement. "Alright. My, and Mirage with you Keen and Poultice,"I barked as I turned to everyone and split them up. Logan, Storm, and Rouge with me while Scott, Jean, and the Professor were on the other. My muscles rippled and I felt my heart surge in compassion. I had to get them out of here.

They clambered on and I helped Mirage into his harness. I knew it was a little uncomfortable at where the ropes rested but he had to get through it.

"Would you like to lead," I offered to Thruster.

He dipped his head to me and spread his wings. Keen and Poultice copied and they surged forward. They took to the sky and I heard Scott let out a yelp.

I let out a chuckle and turned to Logan. I knew how to much he hated to fly. "Are you going to be alright," I asked, a hint of smugness in my voice.

He narrowed his eyes. "Just go."

I shrugged and spread my wings and surged forward. Logan let out a grunt as I took to the air with Mirage flapping his wings right under me. I heard Logan press his head against the metal bar of the sled and I let out a howl. "We only have a long time to go," I soothed as I took a sharp bank turn and I felt the wind lift me.

Thruster let out a howl to make sure I was still behind him. I let out a howl to answer him and I felt the wind lift my spirits. We were heading home.
