Fayth walked on the icy and yellow crispy grass, heading nowhere. She walked, with no destination whatsoever. She walked, because her heart wasn't beating frantically at all. It was mute. Muffled. The beats faint to her own chest. And she was afraid... Afraid that she might die any second now.
All this time... All this time I had been wondering what it felt like to be with... my own brother? This feeling I have right now in my stomach, in my bones, in my head... It's absolutely revolting...
That cheating waste of a dad. Was it not enough to betray your own daughter for bringing her into this world to only live a sick, twisted life?! Couldn't he be content with only that?! Did he have to make me disappointed in him even after his death! Do I have to hate him even now?! Why the hell didn't I just die when I had the chance! Why am I still alive?!
Fayth stuck her hand in her pocket, fumbled it around, and took out the medication bottle. Her hands were shaking so badly, half of it fell on the ground near her feet, while countless ones fell into the palm of her hand. She then shoved the bottle back into her pocket and resumed walking.
She looked at her candy, frustrated at how she'd be able to consume all of them at once. I might choke – oh, screw it! Let me choke to death. Who the hell cares?! No one! No one cares!
"What the hell are you doing?!"
Fayth shoved all the tablets in her mouth and started swallowing one after the other.
Lexis attacked her, quickly wrapping his arm around her neck and poking his forefinger inside her mouth, scooping out as many as he could. He was only quick enough to get a few to drop to the ground, she quickly swallowed the rest as she pushed him away.
Why the hell does he always have to be there?! Especially at my worst times. Can't he just disappear?! What am I to him anyway?! Does he think I'm some weak ol' weak doll to push around because I won't talk back? I could just about break his neck to show him right now. Beat the shit out of him and lay his ego flat.
She made her way around him and kept on walking.
Lexis stopped her by putting himself in front of her again.
"Will you leave me the hell alone?!" Fayth bellowed, her entire body shaking with anger.
The dead expression she had after the marathon race, the expression Lexis saw in the pictures Jessie showed him, the expression that he sees in the mirror daily, it was there, planted on her face. She wasn't Rihanna Gessner anymore.
Fayth Armstrong was back.
