Rihanna walked into the F.A.I.T.H. wing. Classes were over and it was the puzzle's turn for her to begin working on.

She walked into the classroom and almost right away jumped in fright. Lexis stood by the glass wall. The moment she walked in, he looked over.

Why? Why must he look like he could kill a person with just that one vile stare? The hatred, the anger, the greed to hurt, it was all there, shown so clearly to her. The only disadvantage to it is that she knew... knew that she was the only one who could see all of it. To others, he was emotionless. Void of all feelings.

Her heart fell at his sudden piercing stare. She tried to hide the fear from showing on her face, but not only did she fail, a gasp escaped her lips to confirm it.

As she watched the door close, she looked back at him and realized that it would only put her under so much suspicion if she took a run for it now. Concluding that not only was she scared of him, but would do so much as run away from the same room he's in too.

Act.

A good excuse would be: "Gee, I really didn't expect anyone to be here."

But not a word could leave her lips.

Why?

Because Lexis, while her heart throbbed in terror, began making his way towards her.

No, no, no, no, no.

"Why," He asked, coming to a stop. "do you react like this when you see me?"

Too close. He's standing too close.

If she was able to step back further away from him to put more space between them, she would have, but the wall behind her was flat against her back.

Rihanna didn't say anything, just stared into his piercing eyes as his body leaned closer. Her heart started beating in frantic thumps, asking for a little more room in her shrinking chest. It was getting harder for her to inhale and exhale. In fact, her breathing began coming out uneven as she tried to get away from his vile stare.

But she couldn't. He, himself, had her trapped now.

He placed his hand on the wall near her head, and moved his head closer to hers. At this point she was ready to drop in her place in utter fright.

Which, she realized a little too late, was precisely his intention.

"What–what–wh–what are you doing?" Her voice gave away all signs of a choking hazard.

"I'm trying to understand you." He said simply. "Are you sickly in love with me, so obsessed that when you see me you'd just about to have a seizure? Or do you, for what ever insane reason you may have, hate me, so much that you'd want to run away from the same room I'm in?"

He knew the answer. He just couldn't understand its roots. He'd never seen her before, so how is it possible that when she first laid eyes on him, she begged Jessie to not let Lexis come near her.

Rihanna stared at him. Wondering how someone could put you in such a position where your brain is disconnected from your mouth. It happened before with Jessie, she just didn't realize how terrifying the situation really could be until this very second. What would he say if she told him the truth? Surely, he would tell everyone in F.A.I.T.H. What would everyone think of her? A psycho case for sure.

She opened her lips, wondering what she might say. She could just surprise the both of them. Let whatever forbidden words float out without any caution, without any expectations of what they might be.

But before she uttered a word, the classroom door opened and Violet walked in.

Immediately, she paused and stared at them with surprise.

And, not a moment later, hurt.

Lexis looked back at Rihanna. "They say curiosity killed a cat." He smiled a menacing smile, his eyes staring hard into Rihanna's wide ones. "And I've already murdered the bastard."
