"I found her!" Charles said to Fayth.
Fayth was sitting on the steps leading to the girls' dormitory, waiting to see if maybe Vivian would finally appear before curfew time.
When Charles showed up and said what he did, instant relief and a bit of disappointment flooded through Fayth. She was glad that she knew Vivian's whereabouts, but disappointed that Vivian hadn't left the Academy yet.
Fayth jumped to her feet and jogged behind Charles. They exited entrance C and went out to the back, where they found Vivian sitting on the grass, her head laying on the bench's seat.
Fayth sighed and walked over to her. "Where the hell have you been?" She asked.
Vivian sighed and walked over to her. "Where the hell have you been?" She asked.
Vivian lifted her finger and pointed at the surrounding wall. "Out. Blind spot."
Fayth rolled her eyes. Of course she'd find the blind spot.
"So what do you wanna do?" Charles asked.
Fayth leaned in and above Vivian, then sniffed. "WHAT THE HELL?!"
"I know. I still have no clue how she was able to sneak it around like that." Charles said, hands on his hips.
Fayth took ahold of Vivian's hair and pulled her back. "YOU SMOKE POT?! SINCE WHEN DO YOU SMOKE POT?!"
"Hey, calm down. The dorms are right there." Charles said, looking around nervously.
"Since tomorrow you dumbass." Vivian said. "And one minute." She fell into a fit of giggles. "No. No. No. Two minutes. And a monkey."
She began to squeal and move her arms, very disorderly, like a monkey. Fayth sighed and closed her eyes, disbelief washing over her.
"She's higher than a kite on a windy day. We need to get her inside before anyone sees her." Charles remarked. "She'll be singing all your secrets like Sunday's church bells in a minute."
"Do you know which dorm she's assigned to?" Fayth asked. She pulled Vivian's arm around her neck then pulled her to her feet.
"Not a dorm. She has a section of the Ellis wing."
Fayth looked at Vivian, who ran her fingers on Fayth's face like she was drawing something, and silently laughing at whatever she drew. "It must be nice being the vice president's daughter, huh?"
"You're so pretty..." Vivian complimented, then without notice, she leaned in and face planted a kiss on Fayth's lips.
"Damn!" Charles chuckled.
Fayth spit on the grass, her nose nearly touching her eyebrows. "Oh god, your pot breath is worse than Charles' cigarette one."
"I want coffee." Vivian answered. "I want coffee right now."
Fayth looked at Charles. "Go and check to see if the Ellis wing is clear for her to enter. I don't want Lexis seeing her in this state. She'll be spilling all the beans to that manipulative big brains."
Charles nodded and jogged away.
"I want coffee right now." Vivian whined.
Fayth sighed.
"Hey Fayth?"
Ignore.
"Fayth."
"Fayth."
"Fayth."
"Fayth."
"Fayth."
"Stop saying my name."
"I want coffee." Vivian's head rolled and her skull socked Fayth in the jaw.
Ignore.
"I want coffee! I want coffee! I want coffee!" She turned on like a siren. Fayth covered her mouth, however, that didn't stop the loud noises from nearby dorms lights to flick on.
Quickly, Fayth made her way to the inside of the building, deciding to take her to Fayth and Jessie's dorm for now. Fayth will just have to ask Jessie if he can sleep somewhere else. That way, she can at the very least get Vivian under control.
However, as they made their way down the empty halls, Fayth's heart dropped as they came face to face with the last person she wanted to see.
She quickly dropped her gaze.
"Oh hey! It's that hottie!" Vivian said, weakly putting an arm up and pointing at Lexis.
"Does the vice president of the United States know that his daughter smokes marijuana?"
Vivian put her phone out for him. "Call him and ask."
Lexis smirked, liking the girl's snarky personality. With quick and fast reflexes, he had Vivian cradled in his arms like a baby.
Fayth's eyed opened wide with fear. "What are you doing?!" She quickly protested, staring at Vivian.
"I'll take care of her. We do share the same Academy wing."
"Don't worry about me." Vivian slurred. "Bridal style, you know that's exactly how I like to be carried Fay–"
Even though she hated the idea of being anymore closer to Lexis, Fayth quickly closed the distance between them and shut Vivian's mouth with her hand. At the same time, she avoided looking up at Lexis like he was the plague. Even though she had taken eight of her candies today, she still couldn't bare watching his disingenuous terrifying expression. At least not up this close, with them barely two feet apart.
"I can take care of her." Fayth defended. "Put her down."
"But I'm not going to put her down." Lexis said so simply.
Look up. Why is it that you can't face me? What is there that you're trying so hard to avoid?
Fayth's eyes didn't move away from Vivian, who, yet again, began to draw imaginary things on Fayth's face.
"She belongs with me."
"Well, I believe it's quite clear that I have her in my arms now. And I, quite frankly, don't think you are going to do anything about it."
Fayth's fingernails dug deep into her palm. What he said was the truth. She couldn't do anything at this point to take her back. He was taller, much more fit, smarter and more intimidating than Fayth could possibly handle to try and overpower.
"Give her to me or–"
"Or what?" His voice dropped a couple of notches, and a smile played in his tone. "What are you going to do about it?"
Fayth kept quiet.
"Look up, face me and tell me what you're going to do about it."
Fayth bit her lip. She closed her eyes and breathed out, then leaned in and close enough in Vivian's ear, she said, "Don't be a snitch. Make me proud."
It's all she could do. She stepped away, knowing fully well that her secret had less than a twenty percent chance of surviving the moment Vivian leaves with Lexis.
And that's what happened: high Vivian left with the influential Lexis.
