The Royal Suite is where Dawn's Angels and Chiefs got together to mingle. It was mostly used for meetings and workshops used to further their skills in their soon to inherit business.
Today, Samuel Bullock, a famous business maker, was present to give a speech. However, Summer's entire attention was settled on Lexis. "I heard." She said, taking a big gulp of her drink. It was very unladylike, but she was feeling irritated and didn't care.
Lexis' right eyebrow twitched, and a smile formed on his lips. He clinked his glass cup to hers and winked. "I've made it clear that complications will not have a ground to stand on for Lexis Ellis."
Summer tried her best not to show the discomfort she had felt when she heard the news.
"How did you manage it? As far as I know, your mother already bought the rings."
He slowly sucked in a breath, his smile still apparent on his lips, he said. "I've been working on it for quite the time now. Do you know he threatened to take my beloved car?" Lexis' smile was alluring. "I did him a favor and wrecked it until it was junkyard worthy. He figured he no longer can threaten me with any... materialistic things."
Summer stared at him. "I want to say that you scary me sometimes, but that'll hurt my pride, so I won't." She sighed and looked away.
"What about you?" Lexis said. "I heard you did some wrecking of your own. Your mother's ever so important new clothing line?"
Summer rolled her eyes. "I didn't want to marry you. And it's been going on for four weeks. It gave me goosebumps."
Lexis' eyes squinted and he looked at Summer with a teasing smile. "You say that in past tense. You couldn't have fallen for me..."
Summer let out a loud fake laugh. "Are you insane?!" She insisted with disbelief while she glared at him. "I'd rather marry Joshua."
His teasing smile still apparent, he shook his head. "The dislike is overwhelming."
She sighed and rolled her eyes. "Anything new about the Rihanna case?"
He studied her face. "It feels like you want me to be right more than you don't want you to be wrong."
She kept quiet.
"I'm meeting with him tonight. It seems like its something complicated since it took him this long. I'll let you know soon." He shrugged and pointedly looked at her. "A bet is all I ask for in return."
She pushed an eyebrow up. "Fine. If I win, I want a free VIP membership to the Ellis Fuju Manor. I heard your father hid his state-of-the-art technology there."
"Though it's very hard to ask my father for favors, I have such high expectations in my judgement that I'll agree for now."
"Fine. And what's yours?"
He knelt near her ear. Summer's heart pounded uncomfortably and butterflies invaded her stomach. With his usually low, deep and seductive voice, Lexis said. "I'd like a decent date."
"Are you crazy?" She exclaimed in whispers. "I have a boyfriend!"
But Lexis had already started walking away. "Bring him to the date as well. You're not wearing a ring, so to me, its nowhere near official."
Summer stared after Lexis. Her heart was beating as she complimented his fit figure. His muscular arms as he placed the cup down on the table and exited the door. His alluring relaxed smile as he turned once more before completely disappearing and winked at her.
She looked away, her breath caught in her throat.
Her heart thrashed back and forth, in a rhythm that she was not in the least bit familiar with.
"Oh my god. I'm in love with Lexis."
