Dr. Dormer turned away fully so that Fayth couldn't see her face anymore. "I knew your father a long time ago. He was a good man. One who... likes to think of other people before himself. Back then, we were both in high school. He was the richest, most popular, most handsome boy in school. I was a lost girl trying to find my dream. Trying to understand what makes me me, or at the very least what I'm good at so I can become better at it and make it my passion. I met your father during that phase of my life.

"He was a sensitive man. A person who likes to hide when they feel down or sad. He confessed some things to me that day. I didn't know why he would tell me this instead of his friends. I was someone he didn't know. Just another person in the back of the picture. Why is he telling me all of this all the sudden?"

"He told me that his father wants him to run his company, but he didn't want to. At all. Instead, he wanted to play soccer. It was his one and only dream. To become a world famous soccer player. I told him that he was an idiot. That's all I said. I told him 'you're an idiot' and instead of getting mad or finally realizing who he was talking to, he laughed and laughed until his stomach hurt. I had never seen him so happy. Even when he was with his friends, he wasn't as close as happy with them as he was with me then."

"The next day, he came over to the same spot he found me in and told me to help him become less of an idiot. I told him to follow his heart. That's what I said 'follow your heart and you won't be an idiot anymore'. He looked at me then and said, 'since I followed my heart all the way over here today, does that mean I'm less of an idiot?'

"He surprised me. Shocked me even. He proposed to me to become his girlfriend and I just sat there waiting for him to say that he was just joking. But he wasn't. We began dating and stayed together for the rest of the remaining high school years. And when high school ended, that's when problems began..."

"His father found out that he was planning to marry me and was very upset. It led to us eventually breaking up. A few years later, I came to know that he married the woman his father chose for him. Someone who was rich, smart and from an affluent family."

"I brought you here Fayth to explain to you the one thing that happened between your father and I because I can no longer hold you two apart. And I'm terrified of what the outcome might be, but I'm going to go ahead and say it out loud anyway...

"After your father married, we got together once more because of the strong and intimate feelings we still had for each other and that lingered. It was an affair... an affair that was supposed to set us free and allow us to move on, but something happened... Nine months later, Jessie was born.

"Jessie... is your half-brother Fayth. And I don't want to keep the two of you apart anymore. I want you to get to know each other. I wanted to let you know before I let Jessie know, because I have a feeling that this would hurt you more than him.

"I want you to approach him with this not in a wounded state, but instead, with love and joy. So he won't feel hurt as much as he would when he finds out that his real father had passed away just recently. I also want you to know that I kept him away from his father... only because I didn't want to hurt anyone from your family. Jessie won't understand this, so please, however much this may hurt you now... heal quickly and find your brother. Who I'm sure will love the fact that he has such a supportive big sister who'll protect him no matter...what he is. Unlike me, who put my own feelings first."

Fayth stood up.

Fayth stood up and left the room.

Fayth couldn't breathe.

Her lips, her hands, her legs, her heart... they were all trembling so violently.

She couldn't even see straight.

She was numb. Senseless...

She couldn't even feel the cold outside.

How did she suddenly end up outside anyway...

Unfortunately, wattpad has a 200 chapter limit on each book. which means I need to continue this in a new book. I don't love the idea. It literally makes me sick in the stomach. Like I can't. F.A.I.T.H. belongs in one place on this app. I don't want it to separate unless its in physical form.  I really have to think thru what I need to do.
