As you say on the couch in your living room, scrolling through a collection of cute crafts ideas on your phone, you were suddenly interrupted when your boyfriend came rushing into the room.
"(F/n)! Look at this!" he cried and tossed himself onto the couch next to you, making you squeal with surprise. You looked over at him with a pair of wide eyes and he handed you what looked like a skillfully crumpled up piece of paper.
"What's this?" you asked quietly as you examined the paper, trying to figure out what he'd handed you.
"It's an origami horse!" he announced proudly and smiled brightly.
Now that he mentioned it, you saw that the paper lump somewhat resembled a horse. You could vaguely make out four protrusions that you assumed were meant to be legs. "Oh...!" you commented a bit lackadaisically.
Bokuto's face immediately fell, and you felt your heart sink with guilt. "You don't like it, do you? I made it for you," he said, his voice uncharacteristically small and quiet.
"No, no, no!" you replied quickly as you set the origami horse down on the couch and lifted his head up with your hands, "It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I've never seen anything like it before and it caught me by surprise!" You saw a glimmer of hope in his eyes, so you continued. "I love all of the little arts and crafts you make for me! If I didn't, I wouldn't put them up in my room."
It was true. Everything that your enthusiastic boyfriend had made for you had been put on display in your room, no matter how strange it looked. He tried; he really did.
You noticed him smile a bit, and you started to feel better. "I love how unique your little crafts are! In fact, I'll go and put this in my room right now! Come on!" you continued and stood up. You held your phone and his origami horse in one hand and grabbed his hand with your other.
He bounded after you happily as you went to your room to place his gift. As you looked around, you noticed all of his other quirky and unique gifts standing on bookshelves of yours, on your bedside table, and on a dresser you had.
"Hmm, where should I put it?" you wondered as you looked around for open spaces.
"Oh! Put it right here! It goes perfectly with the clay turtle I made!" he suggested and pointed to a spot on your bookshelf where a green blob rested.
So that's what that is...
You nodded and placed his new creation next to the turtle before turning to look at him with a smile. "Thank you, Koutarou. You're so sweet," you said kindly and planted a kiss on his lips.
You felt him smile against your lips before he pulled away and gave you a hug. "I'm glad you like it!"
When the two of you pulled away, you turned your phone back on, revealing the site you'd been looking at for arts and crafts projects. Bokuto quickly noticed this before you could hide it, and he snatched your phone out of your hand.
"Ohoho! These ideas are awesome! I'm going to make this and that and that one too and this one and—"
"Koutarou," you said, cutting him off, "Why don't you just stick to one idea at a time, okay?"
"Okay!" His eyes were practically sparkling with the joy of endless possibilities. "But I'm going to make you more origami animals first!"
You were going to need more bookshelves.
