A sweet sigh of content left your mouth as you munched on onigiri you'd picked up from the huge feast of food that had been prepared for all the attendees of the volleyball training camp. Feeding five teams of hungry boys was no easy task, and the spread of food on the table had been annihilated within moments after the boys had graciously restrained themselves for a few minutes to allow their beloved managers to fill their plates first. You'd worked up quite the appetite helping coach the boys and offering emotional support, and you were grateful for the delicious food to fill your growling stomach.

While you had been previously sitting and chatting with your fellow managers, you now sat by yourself on the grassy hill that your team had run up more times than you could count. You appreciated the peace and quiet aside from the occasional yelling whenever the boys got excited, or the sound of Kageyama hacking up a piece of meat he'd tried to scarf down too quickly. However, being alone, you knew you were susceptible to being approached by any number of the boys at the camp. Despite being a first year, you'd attracted quite a lot of attention from the boys, mainly because of your position on the girls' volleyball team at Karasuno as a setter. You didn't mind the attention, except for when some of them took to teasing you. And by some of them, you really meant one of them

"Sorry, am I intruding on your moment with that rice ball?"

You opened your eyes, which had previously been closed as you sunk your teeth into another scrumptious snack, and glared at the tall blonde standing over you. "Yes, actually. Can you come back another time?" you requested holding your hand in front of your mouth as you chewed. Tsukishima scoffed as he took a seat beside you, balancing his own plate of food on his hand. "Is there some pressing matter you wish to speak with me about? It's gotta be important if you're willing to interrupt my moment and sit with me."

"Tch, I just wanted to get away from everyone's antics for a minute and eat in peace," he explained.

You gestured to the open space around you, saying, "You literally could've sat anywhere else and been alone, you weirdo."

His honey-colored eyes narrowed at you from behind his glasses before they returned to the food before him. "I sit where I please."

"I think you just don't really want to be alone," you teased between bites of food.

"My options were very limited, (f/n). Either I sit by myself and be harassed for being an outcast, stand around with those dumbasses doing that stupid dance over there--" he gestured to where Hinata, Kageyama, Tanaka, and Nishinoya were circling-- "or sit over here with you instead. So, here I am."

You snickered and replied, "If I was you, I would've been over there with the lot of them dancing around. Looks kinda fun." He shook his head and gave no verbal response as he continued eating. You watched him curiously for a moment before your gaze turned to one of the buildings in the distance as became caught up in your thoughts.

Tsukishima had become a close friend of yours in the most unexpected way, and you couldn't help but wonder sometimes if he harbored feelings of more than just friendship towards you based on his mannerisms when he was around you. Following your induction to the Karasuno boys' volleyball team as a manager, you'd formed a few friendships off the bat, but yours with him hadn't been one of them. In fact, the tall, stone-faced blonde had hardly spoken to you until Yamaguchi had berated him for being rude to you. After your first interactions with one another, you found that out of all the guys on the team, Tsukishima had started hanging around you the most, even if it was just to tease you endlessly. You became accustomed to his snarky comments and more standoffish personality as your friendship developed, but you still wondered what had drawn him to you in the first place, since he seemed to hate anyone who talked back to him.
