The High Life. The final stretch

Chapter 9

Over the next week we said goodbye to 30 contestants and were left with just 10 for the final.

28th July 2034

Saturday, day of the final and we've taken over Wembley stadium for the final. Connor had brought the older ones along for the show he'd left Blake with Ashton, Con didn't want Blake getting scared and upset. Charlotte, Michael and Jacob had come to watch as well.

Jodie, James and Ben had stayed at home. Jodie had still not had the twins but was being induced on Monday if nothing happened over the weekend. So all I needed was to get through tonight without anything happening.

I got to Wembley really early we had to have a full dress rehearsal before the show.

"Morning George." I said as he knocked on my dressing room door and walked in

"morning. I brought coffee." He said carrying two cups of coffee.

"Thanks." I said as he put one of the cups on my dressing table. Ness my make-up and hair lady was stood behind me doing my hair

"You okay?" George asked

"Yeah not bad, Just tired." I said

"know how you feel." George said

When Ness was finished me and George went to stage for the run through.

"That went well." I said smiling as we finished and walked off stage

"Yeah not bad." George said

"Rhianne. There's a call for you." Matt the producer said

"okay." I said leaving George and heading for my dressing room

"Hello." I said when I was sat down and had picked up the phone

"Hey Rhi. It's James."

"Hey James." I said

"it's happening." He shouted down the phone at me

"Okay James calm." I said

"I am calm."

"No you're not." I heard Jodie shout. I smiled,

"James......." I said trying to get his attention

"Yeah." He said

"how far apart are the contractions?" I asked

"10 minutes." James said

"Okay that's good. Means we've got some time. I'll call Perrie now and get her to come and cover. Ring me when the contraction are 3 minutes apart and you're at the hospital." I said

"okay." He said

I put the phone down and gave Perrie a ring.

"okay. I'll be there in 10 minutes." She said

"Thanks hun. You're a life saver." I said

I went to matt told him what was happening and he was fine with me leaving as soon as Perrie got here

I got a call from Connor to say that he'd heard what was going on and that he would leave the kids with Michael and charlotte because they all wanted to watch the show and he would take me over to the hospital.

Perrie arrived I told her what was going on then I went to meet Connor out the front and just as I was getting into the car James called me to say they'd just arrived at the hospital and the contractions were 2 minutes apart.

"okay James. Me and Connor are on our way." I said

"okay." He said

We reached the hospital. I went to find Jodie and James while Connor parked the car
"Jodie McVey." I Said to the receptionist.
