Chapter 25

20th December. 6:30 at night.

School was over and we were heading to America for Christmas.

"Kids you ready?" I shouted up the stairs

"Yeah coming mum." Lilly, Casper and Jessie shouted coming down the stairs

"Good come on we need to go. we're meeting the others at the airport." I said as they came down the stairs

"The plane doesn't leave for 3 hours." Lilly said

"And we have to be there 2 hours before." I said

"Fine." Lilly said

"Lilly how many times have you been on a plane in the last 14 years?" I said

"Enough." Lilly said

"Well then." I said

"Shoes on please boys." I said to Casper and Jessie.

"Yeah." They said

"Come on boys." Connor said

"We're coming." They said appearing at the front door.

"Lilly you got Evie?" I said

"Yeah." She said she'd got Evie changed got her into her car seat and asleep.

"How do you do that?" Me and Connor said

"Big sister touch." Lilly said setting Evie down on the floor

Me and Connor looked at each other.

"Come on I thought we had to go." Casper said

"Yeah coming." Me and Con said

We got to the airport and the others were already there having coffee when we arrived.

"What took you guys so long?" Jodie said

"I have 6 to organise its takes us a while." I said smiling

They all laughed.

"Lilly will you carry Evanna please, she's less likely to wake up if you carry her." I said I had taken Evie out of her car seat and had left in the car that was staying at the air port.

"Yeah, You got the sling?" Lilly asked

"Yeah. It's here." I said taking it out of the bag that I had on my back

"Thanks." Lilly said taking it from me.

"Back or front?" She said

"Front. She likes to hear your heart beat." I said

"Okay." Lilly said tying the sling round her waist so that should could put Lilly in it.

Evie was awake but it wouldn't be long before she was asleep.

"Thanks sweet." I said handing Evanna to Lilly to put in the sling

"She is so much like you." Charlotte said as we headed to our boarding gate

I was looing ahead Lilly was walking a little way in front of us still carrying Evanna. She's been carrying her the last 2 hours she hadn't complained at all.

"Yeah she is." I said smiling

"You going to start letting her look after the kids for the night while you and Connor go out?" Charlotte said

"Maybe if Jessie and Casper weren't there." I said

"Why not the older ones." Charlotte said

"Because I think she would cope better if they weren't there or maybe if the little ones weren't there. It's a lot for her to handle on her own." I said
