The High Life. The final stretch

Chapter 30

It took me and Connor a couple of days to recover from the premier after party. We took it in turns to look after the kids so the other could sleep.

"How's your head?" Brad asked on the Sunday after the premier

"Thick." I said sitting on the sofa. Connor had taken the kids out so that I could sit with Brad and Sid to wedding plan. They had picked the 24th July next year, 2038. I have no idea why they have picked a date so far away having been engaged since last year.

"You shouldn't have drunk that much then." Sid said

"Not helping." I said

"Sorry." Sid said

We got rather a lot done before the boys left and Connor got home with the kids.

"Hey." I said as they walked through the door

"Hey." Con said

"Your turn im going for a lie down." Con said handing Evanna to me

"Okay." I said

"Kids head upside and get changed and I'll turn the pool heaters on." I said

"Yay." They all said

"Go get changed then." I said

They all ran upstairs. While the kids were in the pool I took Evie up for a nap. With the baby monitor I went and sat outside with the kids and watched them play for a bit.

Monday morning and I was feeling a little better. After dropping the kids at school I was heading into London for a meeting about the new series of Britain got talent, but first getting the kids out of the house and to school. Connor was dealing with the boys and I was dealing with the girls.

"Lilly grace you guys dressed yet?" I shouted up the stairs

"Yeah." Lilly said coming to the top of the stairs

"Good come on then please. Grace!"

"Yeah coming." Grace said

I was taking Lilly to school in the car because I had to go into London anyway so leaving Connor with the younger ones I picked Ben up on the way and dropped them both at school Ben now in year 11 and going into year 12 next year I think mainly because he doesn't want to leave Lilly behind and so that when she finishes they can go to college together.

"Have a good day." I said as the pair of them got out of the car.

"Don't forget mum I have training tonight." Lilly said she was really getting into ice skating now.

"Yeah I'll pick you up and take you over there Ben you coming?" I said looking at him

"Can I please?" Ben said

"Yeah if you want." I smiled

"Thanks I'll text mum now and tell her." Ben said

"Okay. Have a good day guys." I said

"Bye mum." Lilly said

"Bye Rhi." Ben said

I watched as they walked off laughing I smiled and headed for the ITV studios.

"Good morning." I said walking in through the front doors of the ITV offices and being greeted by a lad who must only be about 20. He had a name badge pinned to his shirt that read Daniel.

"Hello." He said looking up at me

"Rhianne ball." I said

"Yeah. Here." He said handing me a paper badge
