Chapter 45

New year 2038 - 2nd January

Ages: Ben 16, Lilly 15, Casper 12, Jessie 9, Jacob 9, Grace 7, Blake 4, Oscar and Luna 2, Evanna 1.

With Ben's 17th birthday only 3 days away and schools not going back until the 10th we decided to spend it in America. He wanted to take Lilly out for tea in the evening which we said was fine. But he didn't know what he wanted to do during the day.

"Come on Ben there must be something you want to do?" Jodie said she'd been asking him this for most of the morning

"Can we go down to the beach and have a picnic?" He said

We all looked at him confused

"That's what I want to do. Go down to the beach play in the sea and have a picnic." He said

"It's his birthday Jod." James said she was rather hoping that he'd want to go out for the day somewhere nice.

"If that's what you want to do then that's what we'll do. Just as a family?" Jodie said

"No all of us." He said

Jodie didn't say anything for a while then said with a note of annoyance in her voice "okay all of us."

"Jodie." James said

"Sorry." She said

"What you got planned for today Rhi?" charlotte asked

"Taking Lilly out we're going to have a girly shopping trip...."

"Can I come?" Grace said

"No Grace. Just me and Lilly today." I said

"That's not fair." She said

"Oh dear." I said

"Ready to go mum." Lilly said she'd been up in her and Ben's room getting dressed we'd had the up stairs changed slightly and had 2 extra rooms built to accommodate everyone.

"Come on then sweet." I said

"Can we go on our Wizboards?" She asked

"Yeah why not. We haven't been out on them in a while." I said smiling

"Cool." Lilly said

"See you later." Connor said giving me a kiss

"Have a good day." I said smiling

"You as well." Con said

Together me and Lilly left on our Wizboards. The band house being on a rather steep hill we whizzed down the hill faster than we should have.

"Shall we go to the massive shopping centre Lilly?" I said as we reached town

"Yeah." She said

"Cool come on then." I said

Down town Florida was really quiet for a Thursday morning.

"Where we going mum?" Lilly said when we reached a cross road

"This way sweet." I said turning left.

"Wow." Lilly said when we reached the centre

"I know." I said smiling The main reason for our shopping trip was to get something for Lilly to wear for her meal with Ben on his birthday.

"Come on let's put the Wizboards in a locker." I said

"Good idea." Lilly said

We put our Wizboards in a locker then went shopping
