Rhianne's POV
Being in Manchester was a lot of fun. I got up every morning got dressed had breakfast and went down to meet George before we headed to the theatre where the audition were. Every morning there were people outside the hotel waiting to see us, it was lovely to say hello to them and sign some pictures.
"You coming to watch the show today?" I asked
"Yeah." Some of them said
"Good see you all later." I said smiling
Me and George stayed with the people outside the hotel for a couple of minutes before getting into the taxi that had been waiting to us.
"That was good fun." I smiled
"Yeah it was." George said
The day went really quickly and it was a lot of fun. Some of the act were awful and some of them were great. All in all, it was a good day. It was late when we got back to the hotel and I was ready for bed.
As the week went by and Thursday came around I was really looking forward to skyping the kids and watching Casper's first ice hockey match. At quarter past 12 I got a call from Connor and the kids? It was a family affair all of there were at the ice rink to watch Casper. Charlotte, Michael, Jacob, Ash, Luke, Ben and Jodie were also there.
"Guys." I said smiling
"Hey......." They all said
"Where you sat?" I said only being able to see Connor at the moment
"Right at the front." Connor said turning the camera around and show me
"Nice." I smiled
"How's Casper?" I asked
"He's okay. Nervous we think." Connor said
"Yeah he seemed a bit nervous when I spoke to him at stupid o'clock this morning." I said Casper had called me at half 7 that morning to make sure that I could still skype
"He called you?" Connor and Lilly said
"Yeah." I said sounding slightly surprised that they didn't know
"What time?" Con said
"About half 7." I said
"Ahhhh. I wasn't down stairs by then." Con said
"How come the kids aren't at school?" I asked
"They wouldn't go.....said they wanted to watch Casper." Con said
"Fair enough." I smiled
Casper POV
I'm sat in the changing room with my team waiting to head out on to the ice. Not really paying much attention to what everyone was doing. I was so nervous it was unreal. I was just hoping that dad had been able to get hold of mum and skype her so that she could watch the match. I sucked so much that she couldn't be there in person to watch me. I'd found out that the next match was on a Saturday and that mum would be able to come back for it which was great. Not paying attention to what the other were doing meant that I hadn't heard a couple of the rival team member come into our changing room.
"It's Casper right?" I was looking at the floor and looked up when one of the guys said my name
"Yeah." I said
"Your new right?" He said
"Yeah."
"Where's your mum?" The boys asked I hadn't been expecting this question
"She's working." I said
"what does she do?" one of the other boys asked
"She works in TV." Elliot said he came to stand next to me. Elliot was one of my friends I'd made while on the team. He was a year older than me and in year 7
"Doing what?" the second boy asked
"She's one of the presenters for Britain's got talent." I said smiling
"Don't believe you." The second boy said
"I think she's probably a prostitute." The first boy said
"No." I said not really knowing what it meant but by the sound Elliot made it was bad. I made a mental not to ask dad what it meant later
"Sod off Calum." Ben said Ben was also on my team he also came over and stood next to Elliot.
"Sorry. I'm just having a chat with Little Casper here." Calum said
"Well you can go away this is our changing room." Ben said
"Kill joys." Calum said
"See you later." Calum said turning and walking out of changing room the other 2 boys following him
"Who are they?" I said standing up and looking from Ben to Elliot.
"Calum, Max and Harry. Not really very nice people." Ben said
"I gathered that." I said
"Don't worry about them Casper." Ben said
I didn't say anything. I really wanted to talk to mum.
I still had a bit of time before the match so I put the cover over my ice blades and went to find dad and the others.
"Hey Casper." Jessie said seeing me first.
"Casper." The other said Charlotte, Michael, Jacob, Ash, Luke, Ben and Jodie were also there.
"Hey." I said
"How you feeling?" Dad asked
"Yeah okay." I said
"Hey Casp." Mum said she was on the screen of dads phone.
"Mum." I said
"Hey dude." Mum said
"Can we walk?" I asked
"Yeah course." Mum said dad handed me the phone and I walked off with it
"How you feeling?" Mum asked
"Awful." I said I paused for a second then asked "What's a prostitute?"
"Why do you want to know?" Mum said
"one of the guys on the other team called you one earlier." I told her what happened
What I had finished she just said "Well done for keeping your cool.
"Thanks." I said smiling
"A prostitute is something who sells themselves for sex." Mum said
"Oh." I said nothing else was said on the matter.
I sat and talked to mum for about 10 minutes before dad came to find me to tell me what our coach had come looking for me because I was nearly time.
"Talk later. I might not get to watch all the match but Charlotte is going to film it for me so I can watch it tomorrow night when I get home." Mum said
"okay." I said
"I love you Casper." Mum said
"I love you too mum." I said I stood up and handed the phone back to dad.
"Good luck Casper." Dad said
"Thanks." I said
