Chapter 74

6 months later. Christmas 2039.

For some reason unknown to the rest of the family Lilly was being very strange, she's strange anyway as Casper and Jessie rightly pointed out when I asked them but it was odd, she seemed to be up to something.

"You okay Lilly?" I asked as she was about to leave for college, 2 day before the end of the term

"Yeah thanks dad you?" She said

"Yeah I'm good." I said

"You seen mum?" Lilly asked

"In the dining room feeding the other breakfast." Dad said

"Ah thanks." She said heading into the dining room. I watched as she walked up to Rhianne whispered something in her ear, watched as Rhianne whispered back, Lilly smiled said "yes mum, see you later" and she walked away from Rhianne grinning at me as she walked past. I looked at Casper, Jessie and Blake and they all look very confused, grace was eating like nothing had happened.

"Bye." Lilly called from the front door.

"Bye sweet." Rhianne called back.

"Have a good day." I said

"You as well." Lilly called. I heard the front door open and her leave then it close.

"What was that about?" I asked Rhianne.

"Nothing sweet heart, don't worry." She said standing up giving up on trying to feed Evie. She'd not been very well as she's teething and has not been eating food she'll still have milk though.

"What you doing today?" Rhianne asked me

"Going over to the label." I said

"Okay." She said putting Evie's bowl in the sink and washing her hands.

"What about you?" I asked

"Going to do some Christmas shopping, I'm meeting Lilly a bit later on when she's finished. Would you get the kids from school please?" Rhianne asked

"Of course." I said "where you going?" I added as an after thought.

"Just doing a bit of shopping. Lilly has trouble picking out present, mostly izzy and Kyle." Rhi said

"They're 6 months old, they'll play with the wrapping paper more than what she gets them." I said going over to a now crying Evie and picking her up.

"So, she still wants to get them something." Rhi said I rolled my eyes.

"Wh our next our next date night." I said putting Evie on the floor

"New year." Rhianne said I walked over to her and put my hands on her hip.

"We haven't been on a date it ages ." I said

"We went a few weeks ago." Rhianne said smiling

"Yeah but that feels like ages." I asked

"Wasn't that long." Rhianne said

"Was." I said kissing her then picked Evie back up and took the other up to get ready for school.

Half an hour later Rhianne took the kids off to school and I headed for the label.

"You okay Connor, you seem distracted?" Brad asked as he walked into my office

"Just wondering what Rhianne is up to." I said pulling out a chair for brad who's holding Izzy in his arms feeding her.

"What do you mean?" Brad said looking confused
