The next day Jodie, James and the twins came home. Jodie was glad to be home and in her own home but sadly James and Tristan were heading to LA for a couple of days so I said I would go stay with Jodie to help her with the twins. Even though she only lives 5 minutes down the road.
"Think we're coming up here tomorrow. Jodie's getting a bit fed up of being stuck at home all the time." I said as I was about to leave. It was rather late at night and I had just helped Connor feed the kids.
"Okay. Have a good night." Con said he was stood in the kitchen putting things in the dishwasher
"Thanks." I said going up behind him and giving him a kiss.
I left and headed for Jodie's
"Hey Hun." I said walking through the door
"Hey." She whispered.
"You okay?" I asked
"Yeah. Just got them off for a sleep it's taken me about half an hour." Jodie said
"Ouch." I said
"Yeah." Jodie said
"I'm here now. What can I do?" I asked
"Could you please go up to the twins room and put clean sheets in their cots." Jodie said
"Yeah that's fine." I said heading up to the twins room
I put clean sheets in the cots then went back down stairs. Jodie was juggling Oscar in one arm and trying to make a bottle for him using her other hand
"Jodie let me do that." I said
"It's okay. Will you just take Oscar I can do this quicker when I don't have him screaming in my ear." Jodie said
"Yeah course." I said taking Oscar from Jodie he was making a right racket. I'm surprised that I didn't hear him upstairs.
"Okay little man." I said rocking Oscar I started to sing and he soon calmed down he was looking at me with just concentration.
"Coz' It's us against the world you and me against them all. If you listen to these word know that we're standing tall. I don't ever see the day that I won't catch you when you fall. Coz' it's us against the world."
"How do you do that?" Jodie said looking at me
"Raised 2 of my own from birth then raised Blake." I said
"Stay for ever please?" Jodie said
I laughed
"Bed time?" I said an hour later
It was just coming up to half 10
"Yeah." Jodie said
"Ben." Jodie shouted Ben had gone up to his room to do some of the homework he'd been given for the summer holidays
"Yeah mum." Ben said coming down stairs.
"Will you please run the bath?" Jodie said
"Yeah." Ben said heading back upstairs.
"Bless him." I said smiling
"Yeah. He's a good boy." Jodie said
"Yeah. Does he help all the time?" I asked
"Yeah. He's been a star this last week." Jodie said
"That's good." I said
"Yeah. It's really helped me." Jodie said
"When's James home?" I asked
"Friday." Jodie said
"Not too bad then." I said
"No and with it being the holidays Ben's here to help." Jodie said
"Yeah it's good he doesn't mind helping." I said
"Yeah." Jodie said
"Mum bath." Ben shouted down the stairs.
"Okay sweet." Jodie said
She picked Oscar and I picked Luna up and together we took them both upstairs for a bath. They were about 4 weeks old now. Me and Connor hadn't done half the things we wanted to do this summer. Mainly because Jodie had had the twins and needed our help which I didn't mind.
Jodie and I got the twins bathed and ready for bed then gave them some milk and put them to bed.
Nearing the start of September which meant that all the kids were heading back to school which sucked because I had rather enjoyed having the kids around. It had been fun. Grace was about to start school. So the next day Jodie and I got Ben and the twins ready then went over to mine to get the kids and take them out for the day to get new school clothes and school supplies.
"Lilly-Anna will you hurry up please we've still got to get clothes for your brothers." I said banging on the door of the M&S changing rooms
"Okay mum." Lilly said
Jodie was looking for school clothes for Grace for me while I stood with the twins they were both fast asleep in the push chair. Lilly and Ben were trying on clothes.
"You okay." I said when Ben came out holding on to the clothes he'd taken into the changing room
"Yeah they all fit apart from this pair of trousers." He said holding up a pair of trousers.
"Okay sweet." I said
Lilly came out 5 minutes later
"Okay?" I said
"Yeah." She said she was holding 4 shirts, 2 skirts, 2 dresses and 4 pairs of trousers.
"Good." I said
"Come on then. Let's go and find the others." I said pushing the push chair round to find the others.
We found Jodie, the boys and Grace looking for new trousers for Casper and Jessie.
"Okay?" I said to Jodie
"Yeah." Jodie said
"Good." I said smiling
"Got everything?" I said to Jodie
"Yeah I think so." Jodie said she was carrying some school clothes for Grace.
When we had finished in M&S we went for some lunch.
