The High Life. The final stretch

Chapter 55

We arrived late into Dublin and the kids were shattered so we headed straight for the hotel and for some sleep. The next day Charlotte woke me, Jodie, Lilly, Edward, Josh and Ben up at half 7.

"Charlotte the concert isn't until tomorrow." I said opening the hotel door

"Yeah but the stage needs putting up, the lights need doing, the guitars have to be tuned do I need to go on." Charlotte said

"Charlotte I love you but Evie has kept me up all night come back in about 2 hours." I said closing the door in her face.

"Rhianne." Charlotte

"Laters Charlotte." I said getting back into bed.

"Rhianne, Rhianne, Rhianne....." Charlotte continued to knock on the door until I got up and went with her

"See you later....." Connor shouted with a note of joy in his voice.

"Bye." I said leaving with Charlotte

"What's the point in being up so early?" Lilly said

"Because there is so much to do." Charlotte said

"Charlotte we can't do very much until the fixed part gets here." I said

"We can get most of it up." Charlotte said

Me and Lilly looked at each other and rolled our eyes.

It took us the best part of 6 hours to get what stage we had, up. Charlotte then made us get the lights up without the missing part.

"Charlotte we can't do this. We're going to end up getting injured." I said

"Fine. We'll have to wait then." Charlotte said walking off.

"Oh dear." I said to Edward

"She'll be fine when the part gets here." Edward said

"Yeah I hope so." I said

At half 6 we had a very stressed out Charlotte. The part was meant to be here by now and Charlotte was going mad.

"What if it doesn't turn up. We can't have the light. Oh What if they don't show. We'll have to call the show off."

"Charlotte!" I grabbed hold of her "Stop stressing. If it doesn't turn up today, it'll be here tomorrow. The shows are not until tomorrow anyway." I said

"You don't know. They might not turn up at all."

"The stage part is here." James said coming into the main part of the arena.

"Told you." I said

"Yeah but we still have to get the lights up." Charlotte said

"Please Charlotte can we do that tomorrow. The kids are very tired." I said

"Yeah the twins could do with an early night as well." Jodie said

"Okay yes we'll do it tomorrow." Charlotte said

"Thank you. Put it backstage for now and we'll do it first thing in the morning." Edward said

"Okay." Charlotte said

The fixed stage part was put back stage and we all went back to the hotel for dinner.

Over the next couple of day's, we moved from Dublin to Belfast. All the shows were incredible and the boys had a great time. But before we knew it was time to head over to America, straight after the show in Belfast we flew to Heathrow and then from Heathrow we headed for New York.
