The trip to America was amazing and it was just what we all needed time away and to chill out. The kids really enjoyed themselves and Evie enjoyed it as well. Getting home was great. 2037 was going to be a great year.
I started my year like I start most years these days. Shouting up the stairs to the kids to come down and get ready for school.
"Lilly, Casper, Jessie and Grace your going to be late hurry up please." I shouted
"Mum I can't find my tie." Lilly said coming down the stairs.
"It's here." I said holding it out for here to take.
"thanks." She said taking it from me
"Mumma." Blake said coming into the kitchen holding out his arms for me to pick him up
"Hey sweet. You okay?" I said picking him up
"Hungry." He said
"Okay." I said putting him down and getting him some strawberries and banana.
"There you go. Connor." I shouted
"coming babe." He said coming inside he'd been on the phone for the last half an hour.
"who was on the phone?" I asked
"Max." He said
"Manager Max?" I said
"Yeah. we as in me and the boys have been invited the a movie premier we have plus ones as well." Con said
"Sounds exciting." I smiled
"Yeah. You want to go?" He said
I looked at him
"Can we talk about it when I get back from dropping the kids off?" I said
"Yeah." Con said
"Okay." I said and shortly after that me and the kids left for school. Lilly walked her self to school now with Ben. They go by bike.
I took Jessie, Casper and Grace to the primary school then Blake to nursery. As we were heading to school, Jessie had gone really quiet.
"You okay Jess?" I said
"Yeah fine." He said
"He finds out if he's made the football team today." Casper said
"Oh yeah." I said
"You'll be fine Jess." I said putting my arm around him
"No he won't there is no way he will get in." Grace said
"Grace." I said looking at her
"Well it's true. I've seen him practice. he's rubbish." Grace said grinning. I knew what she was trying to do, wind Jessie up so much that he snapped at her. but he didn't say anything.
"Ignore her Jessie." Casper said giving him one of his headphones so that they could listen to Casper's music together.
"Your not going to make it." Grace started to chant
"Grace enough." I said
she carried on.
"GRACE." I shouted which caused Casper and Jessie to look round at me
Grace went deadly quiet.
"Thank you. Your brother is going to get into the team. And if not then we will find another team." I said
"Thanks mum." Jessie said smiling
"Any time." I said
Jessie's POV
Mum dropped us off at school that morning and I was dreading it. Today was the day that I found out if I had made the school football team or not. Casper now in his finally year of primary school was being a big brother and keeping me calm and telling me there was no doubt about it I had got into the team. This however didn't stop me worrying. Lilly had also been really supportive, Blake didn't have a clue what we were talking about, but Grace was being really horrible about the whole thing.
"Don't listen to her Jessie." Casper said instead of going off to find his friends he came to sit with me on the bench outside my class
"What if I don't make it though." I said looking at Casper.
"You will. It will be fine." Casper smiled
Mum had gone to drop Grace and Blake off then was coming round to say goodbye to me and Casper.
"It's going to be fine bro. When do you find out?" Casper asked
"After lunch." I said looking at the floor
"Than I will come find you after lunch and we will find out together okay?" Casper said
"Okay." I said still looking at the floor
"Don't worry Jessie. Look here comes mum." Casper said I looked up and there walking towards us was mum.
"Okay sweet?" She said sitting next to me on the bench
"Yeah." I said
"I've spoken to Mrs Canning and she's given Casper permission to use his phone to call me after lunch." Mum said Casper had got a phone for Christmas for when he went up to the high school in September.
"Okay." I said
"It's going to be fine Jess." Mum said she put her arm around me and smiled
"I know." I said but I didn't believe it.
"Plus ignore your sister......" Mum said
"I will." I said
"Ahh there goes the bell. Don't forget Lilly is picking you up tonight so stick around in the play ground." I said as the bell sounded
"Okay." Jessie said
"Good luck." Mum said kissing me on the head.
"Bye mum." I said
"Bye sweet." She said
She said goodbye to Casper then left.
"See you later Bro." Casper said
"Bye Casp." I said as he walked off to meet his friends that were stood by the door to Casper's class.
"You okay Jessie. " Ella asked she was one of my friends. we'd been friends for years.
"Yeah I'm fine." I said smiling
"Find out if you on he football team today." Ella said as we walked into class and took our seats
"Yeah." I said
"Don't worry I have faith in you that you've done it." Ella said
"Thanks Ell." I said smiling we sat next to each other and go on with the morning.
