Chapter 77

Boxing Day 2039.

The kids were up at stupid o'clock the following day.

"Guy go back to bed, we're not picking the puppies up until this afternoon." Connor said rolling over

"Go wake grandma and grandad." I said Connor nudged me in the back.

"What?" I said

"Not helpful." Connor said

"What. Means we don't have to get up for another half an hour." I said Connor smirked

"mumma." Evie came in

"Hello baby girl." I said lifting the blankets up and Evie climbed in and she fell back to sleep. This is often what Evie did, she enjoyed sleeping with us, she felt safe. Blake and Jessie had been the same when they were small.

Half an hour later Lilly came up in a rage.

"Mum Alice said that she wont let me go to stay with Ben for the next few days." Lilly said

"Ignore her Lilly I have already sorted it with Ben." I said rubbing my eyes.

"She said she wouldn't let me go." Lilly said

"Don't worry Lill. Ben is coming later on tonight to get you." Connor said sitting up and getting out of bed.

"But." Lilly started.

"Stop worrying Lilly. It will be fine." I said also getting out of bed and getting Evie up

Together the 4 of us headed down stairs for breakfast.

"Mum a word outside please." Connor

"What?" She said she was sat at the table with the other eating.

"Please." Connor said together they headed out the back door and Connor closed the door within seconds Lilly, Jessie, Casper and grace had all got up and were peering out the window.

"Oi." I said poking the 4 of them in the side of the head.

"Sorry mum." They all said sitting back down at the table. Rob was smiling

5 minutes later Connor and Alice came back into the house.

"Sorry Lilly. I didn't mean what I said." Alice said Lilly didn't say anything for a minute I could see in her face that she was thinking. Then she said "It's okay" got up from the table and headed out the kitchen.

Connor looked at me and sat down at the table.

Most of the morning was spent getting everything ready for the puppies putting the beds out and getting the bowls ready. Before we went to pick them up we went to the supermarket to get some puppy food and get get some normal food.

"Lilly you got your things together." I shouted up the stairs

"Yeah mum." She said

"Might leave my puppy here while I'm at ben's I don't want to confuse her." Lilly said come down the stairs

"Have you come up with a name yet?" I asked as we headed in to kitchen together.

"I thought of maybe Bella or Lola." Lilly said

"Bella's nice." I said

"Have the others come up with a name?" Lilly asked

"The others like Piper or Layla." I said

"Their lovely names." Lilly said smiling.

"Yeah that's what I said. I also said that they had to pick one before we left so that's what they're doing now." I said
