The High Life. The final stretch

Chapter 48

Me and Lilly got something to eat before competition time.

"You're going to be incredible." I said

"Thanks." Lilly said

"Hey Lilly." Ben said as they arrived

"Ben." She said going over and giving him a hug

"You look lovely." He said

"Thanks." Lilly said

"How you feeling?" James asked

"Yeah alright." Lilly said

"Good." James said

When Lilly had had something to eat she went into the changing rooms to get herself sorted.

As the competition got underway we watched some really amazing skaters all of them were incredible.

It got to Lilly's turns and she was dancing to Fix You by Coldplay, the song me and Connor danced to at our wedding 18 years ago. I looked at Connor and he was smiling. This song meant so much to us just because we both love it so much. Lilly was facing towards us and she smiled.

When the song was over everyone clapped and stood up. Lilly was grinning from ear to ear, she looked so happy and content. She looked at us smiled then went back to the changing rooms.

An hour later she came out of the changing rooms.

"I DID IT!" Lilly shouted running towards us waving a bit of paper in her hand.

"Well done sweet heart." I said giving her a hug

"Congratulation Lilly." James said

"Well done babe." Con said

"I'm really proud of you Lilly." Ben said smiling

"Thanks everyone." Lilly said she was glowing with happiness

"Level 5 now Lilly means time for a partner." Meg said she'd just come over.

"Yeah." Lilly said

"See you Monday?" Meg said
"Yeah." Lilly said

"Great. Have a good weekend." Meg said

"Thanks Meg." Lilly said

"She's a bit stuck up her own......"

"Connor." I said

"Sorry. But she didn't even say congratulations." Con said

"She did dad when I got the results she was there." Lilly said

"Oh." I glared at him

I rolled my eyes at Lilly and she laughed

"Shall we go home and have so tea?" I said smiling

"Think we should have a take away." Con said

"Can Ben join us?" Lilly said looking at me

"If he wants to and it's okay with James." I said

"It's fine with me." James said

"Grand." Lilly said

It was nice to see Lilly so happy. We spent the evening celebrating. I took Ben home at just gone half 9 then it was time to get the kids in bed.

Lilly's POV

I did. Level 5 here I come. I can't believe I got through and now I'm on level 5. Level 5 means I can skate with a partner which I'm super excited about.
